I'm weaning DD atm, and DH gets her up now and says lets go and have breakfast and takes her to the kitchen and feeds her quick smart. Still in her pjs as any delays and she comes hunting for me.

I am dropping one feed at a time, so still giving a bedtime feed but she seems fast losing interest. But I am pg so my milk tastes yuck and there is hardly any there anyway.

I stopped both feeds at the same time but started in evening. So in the afternoon I told her that Mummy had no more milk now and that she was such a big girl now that she could have milo before bed. So i gave her, her milo after her bath at same time she would normally have a b/f and made sure that I gave her lots of cuddles. Then when she woke up early the next morning (5am) asking for a feed I reminded her that mummies milk was all gone and after a quick cuddle she went back to sleep and then she had a drink of milk with her breakfast at 7.

And that was it....after that she asked a couple more times and was perfectly fine when I said no more milk

I liked I could explain it to her and she understood- made it heaps easier
