It worked out fairly "well" though because the vet came to our house to give her the shot (we'd been using the same one for years), and we even got a sympathy card from them afterwards. <br /><br />In other words though (forgive my rambling) you'll know in your heart what the right decision is, and don't forget we're all here to support you <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley31.gif" border="0"> ]]>

My stepmum's dog is 16 years old and suffering terribly with arthritis and heart problems. <br />Some days he seems well though and that makes it harder to decide if we'd be doing the best thing for him by letting him go with dignity.<br />It is a horrible decision to have to make and my heart goes out to you.<br />I hope that you can come to a decision you're all comfortable with quickly. <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley31.gif" border="0"> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=16223">my2angels</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3891<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 September 2006 at 10:15am<br /><br />as some of you know we have a newfoundland dog called max, well he is really sick and im not sure if i should just let him go. he is in pain and yelping everytime he moves, has benn for two days and we took him to the vet and they said he has arthritis, an infection and a lump they are getting checked out. problem is the drugs they gave him arent working and he is still in pain plus as horrible as it sounds we cant afford to keep going to the vet, last night cost us $250!!!!! He is 11 years old so really old for a newfie but maybe he will get better but then for how long before it happens again. When do we say enough is enough?<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0"> ]]>
