Doctor diagnosed eczema. We've been prescribed a steriod cream for the worst of it, (she has it under her neck, on her elbows, and ankles too) and are using an emulsifier (Aqueous cream - think you can get this from the pharmacy without a script, but obviously free with one!). Don't know if it's getting better just yet, but we only started the treatment a few days ago, so fingers crossed!

It does seem to be getting slightly worse. I'm wondering if it's a combination of cradle cap on top of her head and eczema on her forehead because they're both dry but the two areas look different and feel different to touch.

We had the choice of going to Welly or Kene (we live in Ngaio) but chose Kene cos the waiting list was 1 month instead of 2... They are amazing!! I would ask for her to put in a referral for you, cos even if you dont need an appointment by the time you get to go its better than needing to go and then having to wait...

We went to the GP and were prescribed a cradle cap shampoo and a steroid cream - because it was getting pretty nasty. Get an emulsifying ointment now and hopefully you won't need the other stuff. btw we didn't need to use it much, it was totally ok within 4-6wks

DD started with dry skin too and ended up with excema. Got the emmulsfying cream from the dr. its free and you can use it as soap in the bath too. We use it on her face as well as she gets dry cheeks and eyebrows. It's quite greasy but leaves there skin really soft :-)

She's also got quite dry, rough skin across her eyebrows and then today her nose looks like I left her outside in a Wellington southerly.

I'm not tooooo concerned about it as it doesn't seem to be bothering her but I was wondering today (when the third patch turned up) if there is something I should be putting on her skin. We shower her about every second day and I just use water and we don't use a moisturiser - mainly because she doesn't like being naked and cries until we get her dressed again.

I'm a bit reluctant as it's her face but I don't want it getting worse. Has anyone else had this and what did you do, what happened??
