I had a wicked bout of gastro when pregnant and everything was fine, and I think safe choices - such as refrigeration etc, and personal hygiene are the best you can do to prevent nasty things happening]]>

I don't always like ti but I follow the 'rules' when I am pg, really it's only for a very short period in my life]]>

It must be something in the pesto, apparently it is the tahini in hummus that makes it a no-no as a bad batch of tahini came into the country years ago.]]>

I found a handful with a warning to that effect on the bottom when I was pg with DD.<br /><br />Assuming that it's not one of those, I'd eat it if it's a freshly opened packet. But actually it's super easy to make yourself and I don't think I've eaten bought pesto since I learnt how to make it <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> ]]>
