In the routines she suggested for new born, she pretty much expects the baby to self settle to sleep. From my experience in the last daunting 4 weeks, my boy will only cry and scream in his cot rather than going to sleep straight the way... The only way(s) my husband and I can get him to sleep is to rock him or feed him to sleep which isn't ideal but is it realistic to expect a new born to self settle?

Edited by hahahasam

It certainly put us on the right track and my four and a half month old is sleeping 12 hours a night. Don't have the PDFs though. You can buy individual PDFs for the right agegroup from Tizzie Hall's website ( www.saveoursleep.com.au )and I think there is a SOS facebook page too where people ask questions etc.

Good luck! Hope your sleep issues are solved soon.

I found a copy on the shelf at our local one the other day (that's in auckland so not much help for you). If it's not in right now you could request for it to be held for you when it does come in. The other book that's been recommended to me was The Sleepeasy Solution so you could see if they have that too.
Failing all that you could check out The Sleepstore website as they have lots of great stuff online

Good luck with getting him to sleep!
