It's early days for me, but I'm growing out of lots of things already, so starting to think about clothes. Choices are a bit limited in the 'tron, so I thought as well as looking in Welly and Auckland, I'd look around online.

You know what, it would be really great if more and more manufacturers would produce clothes for moms with the same quality like they make for babies, for example like from this organic merino wool baby clothing site ( https://kidy.eu/en/catalog/material/merino-wool/ ), which can offer really awesome clothing items, plaids, etc. Sometimes my spouse asks me about purchasing clothes made from merino wool, but there are not so many stores you can get it.

Hey there,

I just got my two tops from ASOS maternity. They look pretty much like the picture. the Mamalicious which was a small is rather large at the moment but will look good with a 'bump'. The ASOS brand one (which was size 8) is quite tight and looks pretty good now - I hope it stretches but maybe not enough for the final few weeks!

I LOVE ASOS... I used to buy a tonne of stuff off there when I lived in London. They have a great clearance part and with the seasons being opposite it works really well. They often have free international shipping too. I have the Mamalicious Jeans which are amazing because you can get the 34" inner leg (I usually have 36" so this is better than 32" or Reg) they are really soft but look nice on. I would say Mamlicious stuff is better quality than the ASOS stuff. I got a couple of ASOS tops and they don't even have the pin tucked sides so seem like a normal singlet! In saying that the dresses are really cute. I ordered a pile of stuff from Asos and it got lost on the way! After I contacted them they couriered out my tights and refunded me for the dresses that are now out of stock. If you're after business wear you should check out Soon - www.soonmaternity.com. They're based in Aussie but I'm sure the ship to NZ. They're a bit pricey but the clothes are absolutely beautiful and have a much more tailored look. You could also try Kmart? Most of my day-to-day tops are warehouse or Kmart ones, at $15 each I've managed to get a few.
Pumpkin patch also have a big sale on, I've got a couple of tops from them.
Then my jeans are from jeans west - 2 pairs for $109.

I've found a lot of the TM maternity gear is all Medium and above which didnt help me much.

ETA - you can get 'belly bands' from Pumpkin patch, or even shanton they'll help extend your normal clothing till its just not working.

I second ASOS! I got some jeggings from there and they are THE most comfortable pants ever, I wish I had brought two pairs!

I also brought a black top, a knit tunic top which is so soft and lovely and also a dress for my sisters wedding. All are wonderful and totally not something that you find here.

Also got my regular size and everything fits perfectly. Hi Ellekereru, yip asos are great - they do a maternity range which is almost like normal clothes but for preggos. Just remember its in pounds tho, but $nz is good at the mo so its probably a good time to buy. Also, if you are ordering from uk, it might pay to order several things to make your postage go further - unless you have friends there that can send you things. But i have to agree with the other girls, glassons has great stretchy things, esp black pants and floaty tops. And pumpkin patch have all their maternity wear reduced at the moment. Mum and I were looking at this the other day - so cheap! but we were a bit hesitant at buying anything because we were not sure of the quality and whether they would have been properly designed for the changing bodies of a pregnant woman... Where have you looked in Hamilton? I got my maternity or what I wore as maternity clothes from glassons, jeans west, pumpkin patch, and the warehouse. There is also jk, egg and a shop down cassabella lane that do maternity clothing. Oh and kmart has a range and the bonds shop at dress smart at the base. I got most of my stuff last time from trademe, some of the maternity stuff in the shops is so expensive. Also I just got a few things in bigger sizes that were stretchy. Glassons do a great pair of yoga pants that you can fold under the bump, or pull up over it.
