Talk to your midwife as she may be able to give some ideas to help. Ginger ale and flat lemonade can help to settle the stomach.

I had all of those symptoms in my first trimester at some stage!

Good news is for a lot of pregnant women when you hit 13/14 weeks you feel SOOOO much better. Not too long to go!

Others will have more info but really bad ms that you should seek help for may be if you cant ANYTHING down and are dehydrated etc

Also if you are concerned ask your MW or ring Healthline...

Maybe talk to your midwife and see if she has any ideas that might help? You don't need "a cup of harden up", it's hard work being pregnant! Just think how healthy your bub must be, they say if you have MS that baby is nice and healthy

    Author: Inkedpixie
Subject: 40000
Posted: 24 July 2011 at 5:47pm

Hi ladies, me again with another question!
What counts as 'bad' morning sickness? I'm just over 9 weeks, ms has been getting progressively worse for the past few weeks. At the moment I'm mildly nauseous all day, and I need to eat hourly (and can only handle a few types of food) or else start dry retching with hideous nausea. It's to the point where I need to eat before getting up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night or else I'll be retching for the next 20 minutes. I can't cook, or even open the fridge because of the food smells. Is this normal and do i need to take a cup of 'harden up' or should I be seeking help for this?
Thanks in advance, who knew ms could be so confusing!
