I noticed that some of you mummy's are thinking about 2nd's and 3rds!! (MotherLtd and Dot2012). Good luck to you both, I hope you don't have to wait too long!!

Hi Stoked, yeah, I was reading these pages a bit when I was pregnant but then noticed they had gone a bit quiet, in a lot of threads really! I've only posted a few times since joining but find the comments and posts so helpful.

I hope your friend gets the most positive news ever tomorrow!

I'm in Christchurch and I'm on FB as well so I'll PM my details. Great to hear some other April mums are not preventing also.

I wish N would learn soon how to roll back, it's a lot of back to front then "help me I'm stuck!!" But she'll get there

Hi Nats-mum, your little girl is a day older than mine. :-) All the original posters in this thread are over on FB, if you pm me your details I can join you up, though I think it is really sad that no one posts in here. I found these forums so helpful when I had my first kidlet.

We find out late tomorrow whether they have managed to get out all my friends cancer. I really hope so, it's a very aggressive form apparently but she is very positive at this point.

Well done to your little girl for rolling back to tummy! Funny that she learned to do the hard way first though! Scary to think that in another 6 months time they will be walking or close to it.

Some of the other April mum's are not trying / not preventing, think that we will probably have a few pregnant people (fx for them!) in a couple of months time. I've already had my two in quick succession, so it won't be me!

Hi Stoked, I was waiting for some action on this page! Where are the other posters? My wee girl was 6 months yesterday, she's rolling onto her tummy but can't get back yet! And wants to sit up all the time :) I marvel all the time how lucky we are to have her.

I'm sorry to hear that your good friend has breast cancer and hope that the surgeons can get it all out. Such a horrible thing to have going on.

Just thinking today that it's 6 months til we TTC for a sibling for N, I wonder if any of the other ladies from April 2012 are thinking about more babies yet?

I'm posting here because no one uses this forum anymore. I guess it will sort of be like a diary entry lol.

A is almost 6 months old now. She's such a lovely wee thing, I think I possibly have the worlds happiest little person, thank goodness, it makes each day a little easier because she is so happy.

I am so tired, my DS is such a busy boy and trying to keep five steps ahead of him can be pretty exhausting.

My very good friend has just been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I so, so, so hope that the surgeons manage to get it all out. Why is it that cancer never seems to select bad people?

Actually, apart from A this year hasn't been a very good one - nor was last! Things must be due to look up soon!

Right, back to playing with the boy.

hey every1, my lil girl is now 6 wks old, she is still the size of a new born as she was 6 wks early. She had a rough entrance into the world but know is loving life. Im so glad to have her home with me and wanted to say a HUGE thankyou to New born intesive care at Waikato hospital. They did a fab job caring for my darling

Well, my little girl was 1 month old yesterday. Time is going so fast.

I've packed up all her newborn stuff and need to list it on Trade Me. Maybe I'll just look at it for another week or so first!

(Lol, the maternity clothes are listed though, I'm not going to miss them!)

A is getting very strong in the upper body and holding her head already, as well as pushing up for quite long periods of time when she is on her tummy. Hope this is not an indication that she is going to be an early mover like her brother! Oh well, at least the house is already baby-proofed.

How is everyone else doing with their little ones? (Busy, busy, busy, I bet!)

ohh i havnt been on here in a while, you can add us to the Arrivals list,

Louie James was born 9.23am on Monday the 30th April ( yes we JUST made it for the April due babies)...9lb2oz,labour was only 5.5hours ( aka from when i reached 3cm onwards) i am blessed to have had the birth i wanted, only used gas and am aware i was really lucky with how quick it was...will put birth story on the birth story thread.

Congrats to all the others added! i havnt been on here in ages!

Loving being a Mama, he is really chilled out and put on weight after only 5 days, blonde Hair, and his daddys dimple chin and juju lips, love him to bits.

Hi all,
Thought I would just come in and say hello. I am actually from the June thread

but I had my baby 8.5 weeks early! He was born on the 01/04 at 4lb. A month old now and doing really well. Hope all those who have had their babies are enjoying every minute and those still waiting that the time flys by till you meet your wee ones :)

18/4 Just added Knub's bub to the list! I'm going to guess that Talia's mum and readymama have had babies by now and the rest of us are still waiting

19/4 Just adding in Readymama's bub! Not many more to go now! Just noticed that my prediction that most surprises HAD to be girls is looking fairly accurate!

He is here! Our little boy arrived 5 days early after being in labour for over 40 hours.

Richie Hoani Duncan Barnes was born 23 April. 3.75kgs (8.4lbs).

My waters broke saturday night in bed after coming home from the rugby. Contractions went from 15 mins down to 4 mins apart. Then continued to seesaw for the next 14 hours. I was admitted to Wellington Hospital went on antibiotics and would be induced Monday morning. I had every drug there i'm sure - but my back pain was to much and i had an epidual. I could finally feel when I needed to push. Due to babys positions I had a episiotomy. But he was finally here. After over 40 hours. He is settling in well and breastfeeding is going good. He is everything I wanted and more. Not had much of a chance to come on here since Scarlett was born - esp with a toddler to care for as well!
Looks like most have had their babies as well and they are busy too - have sent a friend request to join the FB group as thought that was where all the action was?

Yeah my last day of work today. I came in early just to make sure everything is ok here so I can hopefully relax next week.

Our little baby is due in 2 weeks and 1 day. He loves going nuts when I take the train into and home from work. He gave the person sitting next to me the giggles as my tummy popped and little bumps appear out of nowhere. Very much like a scene from the Alien movies

Thanks for all the updates on here and the Facebook page - great to hear what I could expect. I start hydrotherapy next week to help relax in these last few weeks. I'm starting to get excited now.

Our wee petal Scarlett Mollie was born at 11.32am on 4 April, weighing 7lb 9oz. (due 12th and was a surprise)

Morning everyone, i have been enjoying my weekend of doing "nothing" ( aka cleaning and re-arranging the whole house), trying to sleep in and failing...tho have been getting good at the afternoon naps.
Last week when we went to the midwife she said becuase of Baby J's Skippy heart beat she is going to request a Peadiatrician attend the birth so he can be checked over strait away when he is born.
She mentioned it maybe a tiny hole in his heart or something that didnt connect up properly, which of course gave me the total sh*ts, but after doing alot of research its not totally uncommon and becuase nothing was seen on the scan to indicate anything major was wrong with his heart what ever it is its hopefully not going to be an issue after he is born....
so fingers crossed and now all we have to do it wait, wait, wait til he decides to arrive...
Sleeping is getting hard to do, my hips are killing me and it feels like i pee amillion times a night...

Ohh me too, cant wait to see the updated list, its my last day of work today eeek, makes everything seem very final all i will have to fill my days now is waiting on baby

Cannot wait to meet him but eeek count down time for real now....got a lovely bunch of flowers and treats from work and a huge big card almost had a wee cry, will miss all the girls and my lovely boss.

I'm loving all the baby updates at the moment. Makes me feel a little closer - even if I still have 23 days to go. Last week of work next week. I must book in for one more massage before our baby arrives.

Sorry Mummyofanangel, I haven't gone back to add to the list yet (it takes a while and I have a toddler that gets grumpy when he sees a computer!). Could you tell me what your EDD was and would you like this down as baby # 1, 2 etc (sorry, don't want to be insensitive and just put you down as #1). Do you know the gender?

Bundleofjoy I have added you in also but is your baby a surprise too?

I'll go back and update/edit the list over the next couple of days and pop you (and anyone else) on then.

Good luck with your birth today! Hope it all goes well, I'm jealous that you will soon have your little one!

Ohh how exciting Dot, hehe and im excited that its one sleep now til my last day at work.. i have to admit i have a bit of Due date envy....20days to go seems aaages how did i make it this many months im so impatient...hopefully this baby takes after me and is on time instead of his daddy who is always late.
Ohh cool Mummyofanangel...us Aries ROCK hehe...My little Sisters birthday is the 21st April so would be cool to have him then...i think she would be rather excited to share with him.
I had lots of head butts in the cervix last night was grin and baring it, thats right little boy make it stretch...he is still not in the best position but not fully posterior thank-god.....

Just had my pre-admit appointment...its all go for Thursday! Booked in for 1pm which is a bit of a shame as I'm more likely to be bumped to later in the day than if I was the first appointment, but oh well...will just have to be paitent. Will update with news when I can!

Yeah I tried texting my midwife but she would only tell me up to 41 weeks, which is still weekly. I guess after then they play it by ear a bit.

I would have thought it was still weekly Hun? Unless they start planning interventions and then maybe more often? Maybe give your mw a ring?

HI All,

I am due on 28 April as well Siah-wlg...four weeks today and counting down! This is my first bubba, so am super excited and it has been a long awaited journey to get to this point - sometimes I have to keep looking at my belly to believe it!

Pretty happy to have finished work now - although, just hoping I don't turn up on Monday. I'm sure I'll find something to keep myself busy!

Lol siah_wig to the strange noises, my DH stops and stares at me when I do it! I think I've even added a few extras to see his reaction!! I've still got a weeks of work to go to (though it is only 2 days). Hopefully by the time I finish up they'll figure out my pay and maybe even get it right!

My DS has hand, foot and mouth, poor thing. Temps for two days but now he is happy-as-larry, just a little yucky looking. It does mean I have to find lots of interesting things to do with him at home.

It does sound like its all go on here. I still have one month until baby is due and 2 and a half weeks at work.

I love reading all the posts - its preparing me for what is to come.

My team at work are very worried when I make any strange noise. Hello everyone!
Havent checked in here for such a long time. seems everyone is well and there are a few who are feeling very ready to have their babies ( myself included)

Soooo over the night sweats. have had a few nights of sore contractions but they never got closer than 10 minutes apart and faded away by morning arghhh.

Mummyinc I used evening promise with my last one and my plug started to come away slowly over the next few days until I had a sweep. I was already 5 cm dilated and didn't know it. No contractions no pain. Plus I think the plug can start coming away up to 3 weeks before you give birth.

Eeeek ok having never experienced this before i think i may have ( and sorry if TMI) lost a bit of plug...? looked like egg whites quite a bit of it? no bloody stuff yet.

Yip still a section for me stoked, if I go into labour early it just becomes an 'emergency' rather than 'elective'. Would rather it hung out until next week, its soooooo nice being able to rest finally on maternity leave this week before having surgery, also it would fit in better date wise with so many people I know having birthdays end of march! Although had quite intense cramping through night that woke me up so maybe baby wants to be born in march afterall

Morning everyone...scan went ok yesterday, his heart did his little skip while they were watching yesterday but there is nothing physically wrong with his heart and she said it is really common and usually is fine after birth, i will talk to the midwive about it tomorrow.

I think my team at work has remembered so will probably have a wee shared lunch and Might go to said friends house for dinner....if i can come up with the energy.
To be honest it probably slipped my mind due to scan we are having this arvo i am consantly worried.
Babys heart has been skipping a beat and midwive needed it checked so off we go to have a scan this arvo.

So....wondering if I'm having some 'signs' that things may be beginning to move in the right direction. So hard to know, its like being TTC and over-analysing everything again, lol. Hi Ladies, 12 more sleeps for me and they cant come soon enough! By the afternoons I am so knackered after looking after my almost 19 month old, I start to count down the time till DH comes home

Had to have an early visit to the midwife as woke up on Wed with increased swelling in feet, hands and face was all puffy. The baby was monitored and all was fine there, but she sent me for bloods yesterday and I've just finished a 24hr wee collection - thats right i had to save all my wee over a 24 hr period - not nice!! Still pretty swollen, but not too bad, so will just have to wait and see what the test reveal.
Hope everyone is well - last day of work minipig!
Mummyinc - i've had similar pain this pregnancy and did with DS.
