I have spent the last couple of weeks doing cooking for the freezer here and there.  Have made quiches and cut them into halves and frozen.  Also casseroles, vegetarian lasagne, fish pie and vegetable frittata which I have cut into pieces.  I also baked some afghans and have frozen them in a freezer bag (idea being that can pull as many as I need out prior to having people around for afternoon tea etc)<br />Great to read other people's ideas.]]>

We bought a few of those each of the last few shops and they have been great to have in the pantry for easy meals this past week.]]>

But I have been known to make up french sticks into garlic bread and freeze - much cheaper than buying pre-made.  <br />Muffins don't freeze too badly, but don't seem to last long once thawed - I like to just microwave them as I want to eat them.  Banana cakes freeze really well.<br /><br />Funny - I was just talking to DH yesterday about wanting to fill the freeezer before baby comes (nothing like planning well in advance!!).  <br /><br />MMMMM, I really want nachos now...  ]]>

Same as Jax, just cook double and put half away. Well, bolognaise sauce if you want to be posh... hehe... but for example, if we were having spaghetti for dinner, we'd just cook "too much" of the mince sauce and then freeze the leftovers. You can get spaghetti noodles that boil in 3 mins, and then it's just a matter of zapping the mince in the microwave and ta da ! <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif" border="0"> ]]>
