Maya is going to be one smart chicka when she grows up...I am also worried about the day I have to answer these questions. My neice knows where babys come out but thinks her mummy must have it wrong cos it cant be right. Kiya is facinated by science, anantomy and similar... she already knows about birth (both vaginal and c-section) and all about how and where the baby grows...

I've been lucky that she has accepted "special cuddles" so far, but I have been asked "Mummy, how did Daddy help make Josiah in your tummy?" I told her I'd explain it when she was older. I on the other hand am a giant chicken. Maya told me Willie put the babies into my tummy with a screwdriver, which I figure is kind of accurate so I didn't argue

And when she asked how the babies come out I told her the doctor will take them out. How Mummy? Thru my tummy. Will he cut it? I guess so. So where is the cut that tiny Maya was in?

Very funny! Hmmm I've started wondering how on earth I'm going to answer those questions. Hannah has decided that Krystiana will just poke her head out (of my tummy button area) when she wants to, and hasn't got to the "how did the baby get there" question yet. (phew!)

Kiya got me good this evening!

Firstly, a little background (for those of you who don't know): Kiya is my daughter from a previous relationship. She knows that Nat is not her biological father, although she has never met D (his choice).

We were talking over dinner... the conversation went a little like this:
Kiya: "Do you think I'll look like Mummy when I'm all grown up?"
Nat : "I don't know. I think you might look a little like D."
Kiya: "Who's D?"
Me : "Remember, he's who helped make you in Mummy's tummy."
Kiya: "Oh yeah. You had special cuddles with him to make me, right Mummy?"
Me : "Umm... yes, Kiya."
Kiya: "And the one you had special cuddles with to make Josiah and Xavier is Daddy, right Daddy?"
Nat : "Oh yeah!"
