Agave at Kariotahi does a high tea and is a beautiful venue. We had a big family lunch there yesterday and it was great for the kiddies and adults. Delicious food, great service and the best views in Auckland.

Sheraton changed its name to the Langholm, they are the same place.

I thought the Langholm high tea was very good, nice comfy seats and you can have a flat white. I've seen the platters at Cornwall Park when I've eaten there and didn't think they looked as good. Mollies hotel in Ponsonby do a lovely high tea, they are a boutique sort of hotel, quite flashy. The Stamford Plaza used to do a nice one, not sure what its like now! Nice and close to the viaduct too!

Bizzy, sorry, didn't say that there will only be a few kids, ones who are old enough to act like adults for a little while, so room is not a problem, but peace and quiet and some room to enjoy ourselves would be great!

I was just going to mention Cornwall park Bizzy :) My cousins High Tea was there for her bridal shower, they put us into a seperate room so it was quiet, and we could see over the park which was really neat.

Are you after venues in the city? I've been to a few High Teas out West in some lovely cafes but that may not work for you depending on where you're staying.

I am organising a bridal shower/hens night for my good friend in January 2012. She has older women and a few children who will need to attend, so needs to be suitable for everyone. We are planning to head out after for more of a hens night later on.

Was thinking afternoon tea somewhere, does anyone have any suggestions? There will be around 25 people. In Auckland
