Hi, I would say whatever you choose get it from the sleep store. They are fantastic, have loyalty points to collect and often have good deals.

I second the wrap me up. We had purchased about three merino wraps before DS was born, and it was a waste of money for us.

Wrap me up was excellent and we raved about it to everyone.

From that we moved into the sleepy wings which were a great transition. They are brilliant also

We used a miracle wrap - I loved the fact that you could just wrap the arms in summer, and leave his legs out when it was hot. It was cotton, too, which I liked for summer, he was that hot as it was. It might be a little different for a tiny baby, though, I don't know if you'd tend to leave their legs uncovered as they have trouble regulating their temperature... I guess I'll find out!

Buzylizy - we have used 3 fitted wraps all from the sleepstore (you get a bonus chocolate when the package arrives)anyway here are my thoughts:

Wrapme up - love this wrap as they can keep their hands up but does mean they do wake themselves a little more. Super easy to wrap bubs up. Bonus gives you really cute pics

Mum2Mum Dream swaddle - really like this one as well as the hands are down and bubs doesn't seem to wake up as easily. Negative was that it seemed to be up really high under the chin which meant it took more time to settle to sleep and it seemed a little small when putting the outside flap around.

Ergo pouch - this is the latest one we got as bubs has grown out of the other two. LOVE this one as you can move the arms around but not so much that he wakes up, but is still about to suck his hands. Negative about this wrap is that the zip cover seems to be a bit little and with constant wriggle the zip seem to not be covered.

So all in all I think they are all great and super easy to use BUT I recommend you get two so you have a spare one and can wash one and use the other at the same time.

Buzy, where abouts are you, see if you can find a factory shop for merino, there is one in Levin. I got a simple piece of merino from there & just used that as a wrap. So it just covers the arms. Temp control is really important in newborns - one of the risk factors for SIDS.

I must say both my boys were swaddled and it really made a huge difference to their sleeping - naps especially. I liked the wrap me up in the early days (when I wasn't using a muslin sheet) as baby can keep their hand up by their head, which my little guy still likes to do.
When he got too big for that, I had him in a Woombie, it restricted him a bit, which he liked, but he was still able to move around a bit.

My sister swears buy the Mum2Mum Dream Swaddle that you can get from the sleep store for about $36 ish - but you can also get them at the baby factory & farmers (from what I've seen)

Linky Oooo they are on special for $30 from there!

I've got one, and have brought everyone one thats had a baby once my sister discovered it. I am looking at buying a fitted wrap for my second baby as I found it hard to wrap my first in a flat wrap. Does anyone have any advice on which one to get? There are so many out there and I am not sure which to get. They are expensive so I need to get it right. Do you think merino is worth the money if baby is due late Feb?
Any advice would be great.
