Congrats to all you new moms out there! I've loved the first few months of being a mom and it only gets better! One thing I wanted to share with you guys was a cuttttteeeee lady bug car seat cover that I found online. I live somewhere where it's pretty cold in the mornings and at night and I always felt bad taking my baby outside without wrapping him up and then I found these car seat covers and it's been so nice! Hi Ladies,
Just thought I would check in and get your thoughts on this.

And I'm going to be pretty honest here. We are losing some of our OHbaby! community to all these facebook groups, but we have the ability to create closed private groups with our forums and those that are using the private groups function are finding it working very well. We have upgraded the site so that we now have a mobile version of the forums so that it is easy to use from your mobile (if there are any bugs let us know and we will get it fixed - all our testing has come out fine so far,but we never know until we're told of any other issues).

So, is there anything else that will stop you from using OHbaby! as your private group and forum place to meet up? We're trying our best not to reduce the effectiveness of our forums - for them to be effective we need you here as part of the community here to support each other, to chat etc. We're a small business, we can't compete with Facebook, but if we're here connecting you from the beginning and offering all the secure facilities etc that you want then - is there any reason to go to facebook?
These forums are such a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, if you look through old posts from awesome past members, you'll see that most issues we are having now people have had in the past - quite reoccuring :) and you'll see the resolutions for those mums to those issues, the support and advice - it's just a deep wisdom that is just beautiful.
This is a real business concern for me as a small business in so many ways, namely the desire to create a special community of mums who are all there for each other online here through OHbaby!

What else can we be doing?
Would you like us to create a private due in thread for you and who shall we give the password to? Pm me if you like :)
I appreciate your understanding and support on this :)

Hi I'm new to the forum but I am 25 weeks in and due on the 11th of november. I am having my first baby and scans say its a girl. I had a pretty rough 1st trimester, second seems to be a lot easier but just have reflux all the time and nothing seems to be helping. Other than that everything is going as it should :)

Hey Shannon MK, congrats on your lil girl! I am one of 4, and we were the opposite, 3 girls then a boy, I tell you what if your lil one was anything like my brother she will be the apple of everyones eyes! Including her older siblings!

Well I am also new to the forum thing, but was just looking around the ohBaby website after reading my new subscription and stumbled across the November babies group :-D I am due with my first, #1, on 12 November. We have decided to keep it a surprise so not sure what we are having. Everything thinks boy but I have a funny feeling its a girl. We'll see I guess!

Hada very easy pregnancy so far, no sickness etc, so counting my blessings.

Hiya Ladies,

Im new to the forum thing, but am excited to share this journey with others due at the same time.

We are due 22 Nov with #4, our last one & we are having a little girl, YAY! we have 3 boys already!

Desperate to have a girl, we did our research & actively tried the proven techniques to conceive a girl, and what can I say, it obviously worked.

Thanks PeytonsMum, I had hoped that there would be a notification or something in my email, that someone had posted on here, but I guess that is not how it works! Told you I am a newbie... I am looking to change from a GP to a midwife and even though I live on the North Shore (Hillcrest) in Auckland, I want to give birth at National Women's Hospital on the city-side. It appeals to me that Birthcare is right around the corner instead of having to drive to Warkworth or Helensville. There don't seem to be any midwifes with more than 3 years experience who are based local to me, but go over the bridge for the labour. Are there any mums due in November that are local to me that I can talk to? Can I join the facebook group? We unfortunately lost our little one this week...passed yesterday but stopped growing around 7 weeks we think.

Sorry, can't remember who posted about the DVD and my reply is probably too late anyway, but yes I was offered a dvd for my scan but it was for a dating scan ( ended up being a nuchal scan cos I my dates were wrong ). I also got a dvd at my sons nuchal as well. ( and a 20 week one ). 10 weeks today and sorry to say that I started bleeding yesterday and today have worked through most of a miscarriage.

Hi, been lurking for a number of weeks now! I am 11weeks 5days! Got my 12 week scan on Friday getting very excited but nervous at the same time. Had some spotting in my 8th and 10th week, so keeping fingers crossed all is ok!

My sickness seems really mild to me at the moment...but the tiredness is never-ending! thank God for weekends when DH is home!

I had a teeny tiny bit of blood this morning and of course freaked out but no sign of any more so I'm putting it down to cervix blood rather than uterus.

I haven't posted in here for a while as I find FB easier but I do check every now and then.

Went for a scan on the 13th, spose to be another dating scan, but it turns out I was a few days ahead of what they thought and because my MW actually wrote NT dating scan on the form they could actually do a nuchal scan as well. Everything is well and I am 12 weeks 3 days today. Only got one pic of baby though. If I had known it was to be a nuchal scan I would of asked for a dvd as well. Nevermind.

I will definitely still post in here, just haven't for a bit because my MS seems worse when I go on the computer.

I found last time that the forums were a lot easier to read when up at 4am feeding a newborn while on my phone... FB can be a little hard to navigate on cellphones, so definitely keen to keep this thread going too.

Wilsonbub, I don’t play a winter sport but im a regular runner, I used to run 6 days a week, but now because im always tired i only manage 2 or 3 runs a week.

Shells, i find that ½ an hour before bed, i read a book and have no tv or music on and that seems to help me.

Are there any non facebook or facebook users who will keep posting in here?? i was wondering the same thing. I joined this site as it was for new zealanders so thort i would be able to relate better but not much posting going on. We have only told close friends and family so far so was looking for another place to share our joy and feelings.

I can definitely relate to the tiredness, its crazy how such a lil bean can make you feel. Anyone else playing a winter sport? Hi Staffy, Im good thanks how are you? I am meeting my OB/MW for the first time tomorrow too, I am going to try and get in for another scan before 12 weeks just so I can be a bit reassured that things are still going along fine. I havent had anymore bleeding or spotting (touch wood) so thats a good sign. I am feeling a lil nauseous sometimes when I get hungry but havent felt like being sick or anything, but I guess its still early days yet. I'm due 5th Nov Heidi and my symptoms eased off loads last week and I was, like you v worried. My doc is lovely and sympathetic (I've had 4 miscarriages) so she sent me for an extra scan today and everything was perfect! Bubs has a lovely profile and arms and legs that he was kicking everywhere. V moving :-) So try and relax I'm sure you're fine but if you're getting really stressed speak to your midwife or doc and they may get you in for another scan.

I've not been on in a while but wanted to update you all. I had a dating scan a few weeks back. They said that I was due on 10 November which differs from my dates by just 4 days. I'm absolutely certain of my dates so I'm sticking with them - bearing in mind that I'll be induced at approx 38 weeks anyway it doesn't really mean a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Baby had a strong heartbeat and was the right size (which is one of my fears!). I'm still waiting for the letter with the next scan date on but they said it would be around 12 weeks so not long to go.

I can't wait to reach the second trimester! I'm tired, emotional and rubbish at keeping secrets from people!

Hi ladies, I have been lurking but was too scared to join. I am 8 weeks pregnant today with #1 after over 4 years TTC and 2 IVF cycles. We are due 26th November. Had our 7 week scan last week and showed a heartbeat so we are starting to get excited. Have had spotting since my BFP and then at 6w2d I had a massive heavy bleed for about 2 hours which was horrible and I thought it was all over. Luckily my HCG levels were still rising perfectly and the scan at 7 weeks confirmed everything was ok. Haven't had any spotting since. Have my first Ob/MW appointment on Thursday.

Hi all

I have been reading from the start but feel like I can join now I'm further in.

I'm due 15th Nov with my third.

I had spotting just before 8 weeks and had a scan. Baby was fine, in the right place and had a wee heartbeat.

I'm a little nervous now though as in the last 3 days I have had no pregnancy symptoms. Also I know of a friend who miscarried at 13 weeks and she said she had a gut feeling as she wasn't experiencing symptoms.
Anyone else find symptoms have eased?

I have requested friend for fb.

Had a Docs appoint this morning and she's letting me have another early scan given my previous history but she's not worried at all. At least I'll get to see bubs again on Monday and I'm trying to stay positive.

I guess I've had too many bad experiences and have too many friends with similar ones! Roll on 12 weeks!

For those asking, I definitely found last time that those inital symptoms disappeared. My boobs stayed bigger but stopped being so sensitive (thank goodness) about 10 weeks. I also found the tiredness went away until about week 36 as well. RE: symptoms disappearing/easing. I'm sort of finding the same. I was 10 weeks on Wednesday and have noticed my m/s isn't hanging around all day. It's still there, but comes in waves. BBs (guessing this is boobs?) are still massive and full feeling but not as sensitive. Hey nb_ride thank you very much for sharing your birth experience with hypnobirthing! I really appreciated the info :). Where did you sit your hypnobirthing classes and did you also still go to antenatal classes? I quite like the partner involvement side of hypnobirthing, it helps make them feel really useful and involved NOT to mention calms their fears and anxiety too!

At one point (if ever) does the tiredness ease up a bit? I have had a fairly easy pregnancy. Initially had a bit of back pain and sore BB's but they have all long gone now. This week however I have noticed that I become tired at about 11am and it seems to hang around all day!
