Also depends on who you see. It does try to focus on longer-term solutions rather than a manipulation that can 'fix' things at the time, but may not fix things indefinitely. I work with some fantastic physios who do more than just provide belts and exercises.]]>

I paid for 2 sessions at the osteo, one that specialises in pregnancy&nbsp;and after the manipulation was heaps better got me through 6-8 weeks of alot less pain (not pain free just minimal pain). It's flared up again now, but she said it would as I got heavier, I could go back but have decided to just push through the last couple of weeks... </P>]]>

Benefits are that it's free if you see the hospital one and there is more to treatment than manipulation (which really isn't a long-term answer). Plus the physio that you see is specifically trained in women's health/maternity care so takes into consideration more than just your back pain.]]>

If you can get a referral to a physio and its free, I'd say check that out first!]]>

I also got a smiley belt (though I rarely use it) and a couple of flexi-grip tube things that you wear over your tummy which really helped. Though I had back pain rather than sciatica.]]>

I got a smiley belt last time for free, only if I don't return it I get charged. It's helped heaps.<br /><br />She did my pressure points in my hip today & i feel so much better, I wish I'd gone when I was at your stage.]]>
