Please don't take offence but this sounded soooo funny like Ngaruawahia is in the back blocks of nowhere hehehee. Made even more funny by the fact you are coming from Gore lol!

But to put your mind at rest, there is a New World there which is perfectly fine and has the basics plus more. There are takeaway shops, the BP does a fine takeaway coffee and there is even a library! There are a reasonable number of shops in town. Ngaruawahia does have a supermarket (New World I think?) not too sure what the accomodation would be like though, as it's a smallish town.

Hamilton's got most things - as in, more than one of each supermarket, three warehouses, etc Anything particular you're looking for?

Hi There

Me and my partner are flying to Hamilton in June for a 2 week course he has in Ngaruawahia and will have a 2 year old toddler and a 3 month old baby at the time, we wont have a car so will be limited to what we can do and have never been that far up north before, can anyone tell me what that town is like and what sort of things it has in it ? Eg supermarket, warehouse ? just need some basic info an am struggling to find it on the internet We are more then likely staying in the town where the course is which is called Ngaruawahia
