And even if you think you are in the clear hold off for a few days as it makes it worse, that and eggs (speaking from experience here) ]]>

DS got rotovirus at about 11 months and we had over a week of spew and poo. ]]>

He only had pedialyte as refused to eat.<br />Hope your ds gets better soon. Its not fun for anyone our little ones being sick.]]>

We saw a few Drs and took her to A & E on the advice of one Dr but they told us to just ride it out, keep fluids up, don't worry about food unless she was hungry and watch for signs of dehydration.<br />She lived on those pedalyte (??) hydration iceblocks.<br />The vomiting stopped after about a week and the diarrhoea for 2 weeks.<br />I hope he feels better soon and it doesn't spread to the rest of the family!<br />xx]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=19176">FionaO</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 41507<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 February 2012 at 5:05pm<br /><br /><P>Hi,</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Not posted on here in ages but could really do with some advice.</P><P>DS2 got his very first gastro bug last wednesday (he started daycare last week) anyway he was fine all day wednesday got home and he vomited, thought it was a one off, so offered a tiny bit of food that all came up.</P><P>He slept all night on an empty stomach.</P><P>Thursday and Friday we spent offering tiny amounts of water or milk then plain food, he threw up and had diahorrea on and off all day and slept heaps. </P><P>Saturday he threw up at 10am but then seemed super hungry he ate plain rice, plain potato had some milk and apart from 1 dirty nappy kept it all in, was not very keen on his bottle but he had eaten a bit so all good.</P><P>Got up this morning no vomit in the bed but a nappy full of diahorrea - followed a fairly normal morning routine had a smallish bottle some dry toast, went for a nap, woke from nap soaked in vomit and diahorrea.</P><P>Since then he is barely holding anything down again - just as I thought we were on the mend.</P><P>I called healthline yesterday and they said go to a dr so we did and he said he has a tummy bug (oh really) but he was ok well hydrated etc...and to carry on carrying on and that is all good especially as yesterday I thought we had turned a corner - but today he is so much worse again, I know if I call healthline they will say get him seen again, but really is there much point?????</P><P>If nothing has changed by the morning I will take him in again but is there anything that can be done - or just ride it out. Luckily he is not a small boy but he has lost a heap of weight already!!</P>]]>
