Still scared to go the full way and try it with lactose. Tried to give him yoghurt but he wouldn't eat it, which is odd as he likes soy yoghurt lol but oh well. Its a big relief in any case, even if we have to give him lactose free milk Im ok with that!

Both products have lactase (yoghurt more than hard cheese, so far as I am aware) in them, so the enzymes to break them down are already present and they are therefore more easily digestible. Good luck!

That for us guaranteed a reaction. It gives you a definite answer as well.

In july I trialled Cooper on dairy, it was more that it was a food that contained dairy & yep eczema next day plus horror nights. Again in December I trialled yoghurt & yep eczema. Then about 3 weeks ago I trial cows milk & hello....no eczema, nothing! Totally weird & amazing really. At the moment we're slowly increasing it in his food consumption & he's showing to be clear of that severe intolerance/allergy.

Up until now his diet has been completely dairy free. I don't think he has reacted but I am unsure, as his bowels have been a little funny but could be that or something else.

Does anyone have any idea of how to go about it? Should I try him on some toddler yoghurt? Was thinking of trialling him on a bottle of toddler formula and then trying lactose free formula as well to see how they compare, as I think he probably still has a bit of an issue with lactose, as I also do. I would prefer to have him on formula at the moment as he is a fussy eater.

Would love to keep him on neocate but seeing as he's no longer refluxy and seems to be able to handle a little dairy I don't think they are going to approve it.

Thanks for any help

ETA his symptoms before going on neocate were bad reflux, vomiting up most of his milk feeds and constipation problems, he never got rashes or eczema etc

Edited by wiggly_jiggly
