I think when people say this, they genuinely don't want gifts, and it is probably good to respect that. Sometimes it might be because they already have too much and they don't want to try and store any more, or it might be because they have specific tastes about what kind of clothes, fabrics, nappies, or products they want to use, or it could be some other reason. I would go with their request. If you felt really bad about turning up emptyhanded, maybe you could do a gift voucher or just a nice card. ]]>
