I ditto what Andie said, your only "competition" around here (I guess in Chch too) would be SaveMart... but last time I checked they had about 4 maternity pants and that was IT! Ugh.

Trying on is a huge plus for me. Yeah second hand would be good I'd buy it. that sounds like a great idea. i would have no problems buying second hand maternity clothes, in fact i'd probably prefer to being the bargain hunter that i am.
i never bought any maternity wear when i was pregnant but if there's a next time i definitely will so it would be great to know there are places like that out there.

I totally agree, it was so hard to find anything even remotely stylish when I was pregnant - I found it was either too casual or too formal especially when you are needing to wear stuff to work. There is simply a lack of maternity outlets - even when I looked in Melbourne when I was pregnant I had a hard time finding somewhere.

I would definitely shop at a store that sold new and second hand - the option would be fantastic!

I'd most definitely shop at a place like that! (Pending me ever getting clucky again.) I'd also sell my gear... and hrmmm... maybe buy outright so that you can mark up all you want without having any issues with the original seller. (I'd pretty much give away my gear anyway!)

And ditto on the oversize trademe get up. Hey There All,

Am just after a wee bit of feedback.

Have always been keen on fashion and in the last few years have noticed a market in Maternity wear. I am looking for a business to get up and running next year dealing in maternity wear, as after travelling overseas I think we are missing a funky element to our maternity wear esp in chch (add into that cheap). I live being able to try clothes on and not just hope for the best by buying on line. I also think that there is a market for 2nd hand maternity wear....I know trade me does well but again for me its the try on factor. Can I please have some feed back from you guys on this....Would you shop at a place like this?, would you sell your used maternity wear to a place? Would you want a shop to sell on behalf or buy out right? Do you think its ok to combine the two into one shop?
