Great, thanks Mathew... will try that when i have access to that PC
FYI - Even tried joining as a new member on said PC (using another of my email addresses, new password and nickname)... lets me login from homepage(using new details) but when I click on the forum tab still comes up 'welcome redtulip' even tho I logged on with new username IYKWIM.

Hi Kelz,
No problem at all to logout either how JoJames suggested or by doing exactly what you suggested at home on my laptop - but still won't work here on this PC??? When I type '.../logout' the Homepage comes up asking for me to login, but without doing that - if I click on the Forum tab I'm logged in on the forum page?? Real weird... home now and can log in and out on my own laptop just as you've said (haven't ever bothered before)... but wasn't able to on the other PC??
