Dh got it for me and don't think it was all that cheap.<br /><br />You can make the dough for pasta in a food processer no different to any other dough. You would need a pasta machine to roll it thin - I haven't seen a food processer with that function.<br /><br />When it comes to replacing mine I'd prefer one with more basic functions and get a seperate cake mixer instead. <br /><br />For pesto and mayonaise have you looked at getting a hand held blender for making smaller quantites. <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by caliandjack</span>]]>

Good point about the breadmaker though, I wonder if that would work. I think mine has a jam function too. No idea what it does though. ]]>
