I'm not on here much now but couldn't read and run! Clomid is brilliant though and it has helped heaps of people to ovulate, myself included! Hey is there anyone still reading this post? I've just been told I'm not ovulating and I'm devastated. I start on clomid on my next cycle. Wondering if there is anyone else out there who is going through the same thing?

With my first month I had the mother of all head aches but have been fine since. Are you on 50mg? When are you having bloods done?
For me on 50mg I ovulate on cd14 - currently in tww from cycle 6 and have script for 3 more months. Tmi I have had no issues with fertile mucus or my lining - thankfully

Oh proofy still early so might still be bfp - when is your blood test - fx still for you

AF will arrive tomorrow, felt naff today (would have thought I was preggie if I did not know - DH did ask are blood tests ever wrong - kinda figure they are right!)
Clomid cycle 6 on Tuesday and will ovulate on a Sunday so will skip iui then likely ovulate Christmas Eve so going to wait til next year. Also going to not bother temping or opks and just keep bd regular and focus on 14th

Might also duck out of here a bit more too and try and re focus

Trying obviously not to get hopes up but I don't normally dip like that...I thought it was because I'd got up to the toilet but I tested that theory last night and my temp didn't change. Might do an early test tomorrow as I've got ones that measure from 10mmol of hcg. Realistically it's probably not implantation and they say that the dip can be related to oestrogen surge. Not really sure how to share it but it's on the charting girls forum. The first month on it I didn't chart as I was away and we weren't able to do iui so I thought I would give my self a month off. Last month I did but I had the trigger so only think I let one go as the others wouldn't be mature enough and ovulation wasn't nearly as painful. Our fur baby is black and white, mixed with cocker spaniel so he had floppy hairy ears. Way too cute.

The forum is great, I hang out mostly in the ttw section and just pop into these others.

Rach - good news about letter and going onto public system. Good luck with the clomid - hope it makes you ovulate nice and early and you catch that egg (or two!).

We have been very lucky so far with costs and I would recommend taking clomid at night - sleep through any issues. My first cycle I got the mother of all headaches and actually wanted to rip my head off, nothing since thankfully.

I am okay with IUI but still not sold on IVF.

You can always bd when you get home and you will never know which little swimmers made it?!? I was worried DH would not want to come in with me but when I dared asked he was like well I am at least going to be there (huge sigh of relief!)

I had my tubes flushed with HSG and no luck after that, still holding out something has to work!!

@icecream I love border collies! Is yours black and white one or tricolour? Thanks for your answers. It is so nice to talk to people in the NZ system, before i have always been talking to people in America and Canada, so they don't really understand how our system works! I talked to DH today and he is really coming round to the Iui..he still is finding it really hard coming to grips with having to make a baby without making love. We are hoping to plan a IUI for November if we're not pregnant by then..as Dec/Jan are probably too hectic at the fertility clinic? do they close down?

@rachfizz good luck with the clomid, let us know how it all goes or if you have any questions. Thanks for letting me know how your lap goes. Sorry you haven't got your bfp yet! Did they flush out your tubes too with your lap? If they did you are more fertile in the 3 months after! yay! How long do you have to abstain for after your lap? Did you take a week off work?

Update from me: my specialist who I had seen privately a couple of times is writing a letter to get an appt to see him publicly instead at the hospital, and clomid is the next step.

Snowbaby I had a lap last month and it wasn't too bad. I guess you can try what's available before that and if you get a bfp before your surgery date then that's great! We just kept trying and lo and behold we got to the lap with no bfp. They found mild endo but didn't operate on it so my recovery was pretty smooth. I suppose that even if they don't find anything, at least that's on your list of investigations and they can move on to other things

Good weather this weekend - did gardening both days.

It was actually good getting a diagnosis - something to work with.

My HSG was funded but I had to go back through my GP for it and wait a little bit but that might have been due to my long cycles.

Fur baby is a boarder collie cross so way too smart!

@icecream i'm sorry about pcos diagnosis it must be hard. Did you pay for your own hsg.. i suggested one to barbara but she said i would have to pay for my own.. but then i have lap public so that confuses me? I'd rather try the hsg first. Hope af doesn't show for you and you get your bfp! If not good luck with the iui, i'd love to hear all about how it goes! What type of dog do you have? I have a cat called grey! He thinks he is a human and acts like he is king of the castle! We treat him like our child, so he is spoilt! :P

I'm cd 26, just feeling tired, but had a really busy weekend! Also sore boobs..but you probably know clomid makes all these horrible symptoms!

Hey snowbaby, I got diagnosed with PCOS and potentially have endro too - discussed lap with Barabara but holding off, had scan showed something funny then HSG, tubes fine but showed cysts on ovaries. We get funding from next March due to PCOS and 4 year trying!!!
AF due Thurs so will phone and book in for IUI if I ovulated on CD14 again it will be mid week so looking good if Im early or late. Not fussed on all the blood tests but excited to see the levels rise rather than just one off numbers.

Clomid is making me fat around the middle - hormones sure have something to answer too!

Need to run fur baby more and get back to the gym and pool after being sick then away.

Hi icecream! How is the clo- MOOd (as i like to call it) treating you? What month will you be organising your IUI for? I'm sorry you haven't got your bfp yet, but great you are ovulating cd 14! We have done all the blood tests, thyroid, 21 day progesterone x 2, amh etc and 2 sperm analysis (one basic and one full) & a scan on me. Like i said above am also waiting for my lap. That is so great you can get IVF funded (praying you don't need it tho). I'd love to hear more about how you made points up. We are loosing points on diagnosis at this point and time ttc. Thank you so much for writing back, it is so nice to speak to some kiwi gals :)

Hey Snowbaby I am on cycle 3 of clomid and will be moving onto IUI next and IVF next year (funded) if we need it. I have PCOS and 50mg clomid has worked for me with a text book cycle (ovulate cd14) but no bfp

I hated being told this but your even younger than me (31) so you have age on your side.

What tests have you had done?

Hi epictraveller! Yes i am on waiting list for a lap (am getting funding for that) but it just says on the letter in the next 6 months. Barbara said it should be before xmas.. but not sure.

I really hope i get pregnant before, because i am sooooooo scared of surgery..but barbara thinks possible endo and if we confirm endo then we move up the public funding list for ivf or iui if we choose (but then if i don't have it it's a pointless surgery)..so torn what to do!

How many mg of clomid are you on? How old you are? (hope you don't mind me asking). I'm only on 25mg which didn't even bring my cycle forward this month! I'm cd 23 but ran out of opk's cd 17 so no idea when i ovulated..so now its turned into a relaxed cycle and BD every second day!

I don't know if i will do another round of clomid because barbara has gone away and hasn't got back to me with a plan for next cycle.. (frustrating) she doesn't get back until after af starts. I already ovulate on my own...so feeling now that clomid may be a bit pointless.. so may take a break for my cycle to normalise a little..then start planning our iui.. i just have no idea how we are going to plan it. I have irregular cycles and how DH and i will get time off from work with short notice..logistical nightmare!

Will you be trying IUI? do you make enough points for public funding??

Hi snowbaby! I'm also on clomid, 5th cycle. Had an MC after the first though. My cycles are also pretty random and I'm also through Barbara Richards! I live in Dunedin though which does make it a bit easier. Oh and my DH has low count and motility! So we're both operating fairly similarly I'd say (apart from location obviously!) Hi Ladies! Would love to join for friendship and support. Been ttc since August 2012. 2nd cycle of clomid. Irregular cycles ranging from 31-35 days. DH has abnormal morph and motility. I am 27 and DH is 26. Rach - sounds like you have been pro active and have information. The low temp and drop off after a short while does sound like progesterone.

Haha 'special ovaries' - glad the clomid has worked to regulate your cycle Icecream - hope it brings you the much awaited BFP or that IUI does the magic.

DH has done two SA's which have come back low-ish. I looked at the results and the concentration, and proportion of motile to non-motile was all normal, just the actual amount of ejaculate (sorry TMI) that was low both times. Doc said for him to take menevit for a month and do a THIRD test, but we still haven't got round to that.

I've charted about 15 cycles all up and they all showed ovulation from memory, but have always had quite low post ov temps and they drop off usually at 8 or 9DPO. Quite frustrating.

I think we both have mild issues so hopefully they can be sorted easily.

Will work on getting this referral sorted out next week. Smile

Hi Rach,
My advice would be go and get seen as soon as you guys feel ready as the process can be slow! Have you been temping? That is a great way to check cycles. I have pcos and was not ovulating every cycle or it was really late (28 to 53days?) but I think my LP has always been okay. I am on cycle 3 of clomid and it seems to be making me ovulate on CD14 (text book cycle - very pleased) but still no bfp!! Trying IUI next.
There are other versions of clomid and also progesterone for lp so work going to discuss. Take all you info and have a list if questions written out before you go in. It may seem silly but worth it and then you want regret asking things as soon as you leave. Has your other half been tested yet? Hi girlies, hope you don't mind me popping in here! I have been thinking about coming over to the infertility threads for awhile now.. You can see on my ticker how long we've been trying for.. but as yet haven't had any treatment. I've been trying to leave it as long as possible without having to go down that road but it is seeming inevitable!

Last time I saw the specialist he mentioned trying me on clomid, because one of my prog tests indicated I hadn't ovulated and I usually only have a luteal phase of 9-11 days. Does clomid really affect LP length and is anyone on it for this reason? I suppose I can discuss it with him when I go back, but would like to hear from you as well because I trust people on here Smile

We have been trying 6 months so far and nothing.
We I was put on 100mg off the bat (worked first cycle and on my birthday haha) The plan was if that didn't work within 2 cycles than they would put me on 150mg. Question - does af change much being on clomid?
Ladies who have done more than one cycle is your cycle always the same on clomid. Hopefully ovulation is the same time this cycle as it was nice and early.
Epic did you gets bloods done your second cycle? I will call the nurse on Monday but I don't have a slip for cd 12 and 21 bloods but wonder do I need to bother.

Now I just want af to hurry up to start round two of clomid.

We had planned two clomid rounds then two IUIs before we go back to the clinic in November.

Frustrated and annoyed with my body, everything seemed to be going so well on the clomid and I was very pleased with our bding. Sad most of all! I let myself dream away too much this cycle as we finally had a problem and a solution!

Hey brownie - good news about folli hope it grows some more. At least you have the next step planned if it does not work this cycle. Our bodies are funny and all so different. I have PCOS and ovulated on cd14 with clomid this month (by my working). Had cd21 bloods today and progesterone is at 77.9 which the nurse said was great.

Hey Girls!
I had my scan at FA this morning, There were a few follies but one being the dom one which was 17.5mm so am going back on Saturday at 10am to have another scan to see if I can trigger eeeeek! Having bloods done again tomorrow as my levels are rising! Don't think this month is the month, so if it is not our month I have a script for Letrazol to start on! Im currently on CD 26!!!! And still no OV!!! This PCOS is sh*t!!!

Yup, your CD21 bloods will only ever confirm ovulation unfortunately!

Just got my results, a definite negative. Feeling so stupid that I thought clomid would just automatically work for us again this month when it took us 16 months to get the last BFP

And thanks both of you, haven't tested yet as I'm worried any BFP will be residual HCG from my MC. So I'm going to get a blood test after work today and if that's positive I'll get another one to confirm doubling and an actual BFP. Epic I go to Fertility Associates on Tuesday for a drug education session where I learn about the meds and how to inject myself then I start I think the day after AF arrives which will be the 16th of July. It's all happening quickly and feels quite surreal!

No I haven't tried Clomid. The issues lies with my DH so no need for me to take that so far.

Hi brownie - im very good actually thanks for asking. Bding marathon over, dh was awsume! When I added my temperature today ff changed me to 4dpo so I ovulated on CD14 - very pleased about that. Getting 21 day bloods done Thursday to check and just really hope it worked but also trying not to get at all happy or carried away (not really working at all lol!)

Welcome beta22 - have you tried clomid? We will be elegable for funding next march (4 years) but doing clomid and private funded IUI in the mean time

Hi Epic, They wont because of my PCOS I have way to many follies up there and they said there is risk of hypo stimulation? So that's why they are talking about Letrazol and metformin? I feel so un monitored for a "monitored" cycle! At least now my specialist knows how I feel about the lack of communication. Hoping for some answers this week! I Sent an EPIC email

and he replied from overseas so it must have been direct haha

Hi Beta and welcome! This is a clomid thread so while you're more than welcome to join, most of us aren't going through IVF at the moment (although I'm booked in for December if clomid fails)! Very exciting that you're starting so soon though!

Geez brownie, FA sounds like they're messing you round a bit! Why can't they just put you on a higher dose? What CD are you now?

AFM, 11dpo, am up to 49 points on FF's pregnancy monitor but I just don't think it's happened this month! Thanks for the support! Gosh FA never phoned back that day which left me freaking out all night thinking that I may have missed my chance for injectables? I phoned up again in the morning and the nurse had had a chance to talk to the FA specialist who recommended taking a further 3 clomid pills to try and boost some more follies to trigger. Going in for bloods again tomorrow, im hoping for an increase in my bloods but if not my specialist who is away has received an email I sent which was very straight to the point about not trying any more clomid and moving onto the letrazol and Metformin!! I don't want to "waste" any more time!

How is everyone else doing? Ice cream? Tan? Epic, BC?

Also I have started taking Mucinex for TTC has anyone read about it? Have a look on line it is so interesting! It breaks downs the CM so it is perfect for the sperm to get to the destination!

Hi, hoping I can join this group? We have some disappointing news that we will not be able to conceive naturally so we are moving to IVF. We wouldn't get funding for about four years so we are paying for a round which will start in 2-3 weeks. So many emotions right now, excited, nervous, scared, but overall just looking forward to getting on with it :)

Oh Brownie - I know how you feel too -flat is a good word for it.

I have now had 3 positive OPK tests 2 yesterday (2, 8pm) and again at 3pm today, going to test at 8pm but I have never had so many positives. Feeling very funny around the middle and not sure I can feel anything specific but I do feel something going on. Now worried that every other day for BDing is not enough so BD on tue night and this morning but as my positives keep going on not use if we should BD in the morning again or tomorrow night. Fine line between hitting the make and 'over use!' and potentially burning out too soon.

Lurker here - no expert on the trigger brownie but did do one during my last iui. They give you good instructions and I even went and asked a nurse run me through it. You have to do it on your tummy near belly button. The needle is super sharp and tiny so I didn't feel a thing. But like I say they'll help you out.
Not sure if that helps given your last post. Hope you get some joy this cycle. I totally get the feeling flat thing.

Just had my phone call for todays bloods!
The nurse said that my levels had dropped..... I have no idea If I am even going to OV this month? My Specialist discussed the injectable so am just waiting to hear back from the nurse after her chat with the doc! Feeling so down! And just flat, I feel like I am never going to get there!

Ice cream im feeling the same as you bloated in the middle too!

Did OPK last night and then this morning, they are so close to being positive, hope my blood test confirms levels tomorrow. Has anyone on here done a trigger injection before? Im so nervous to do it!! Any tips on where is the best place, tummy, side of your lower back????

Epic - no scan just bloods. Apparently there is no hormone action going on at all - they measure LH, FSH, Estrogen and Progesterone. oestradiol was 1659 at cd12 today. Nurse said that is a nice reaction to clomid so hope it works.

My AMH is about 34 or something! Think its so high though because I don't ovulate as regularly as most people.

No estradiol is something that increases with the maturity of your follicles apparently. Normal for one mature follicle is 200 (about what mine was last time). This time it was 2079! Pretty sure I won't have released 10 eggs but at least its hopefully more than one which would be a higher chance of being UTD. Oh my god I'm driving myself insane with all this guesswork. Haha I just consulted Dr Google re my estradiol level which was insanely high - now worried about quadruplets!! So feckin' impatient! Have a birthday dinner to go to on Saturday when I'd be 9dpo so will probably have a wine there, although we have something to do on the Sunday so can't drink much anyway. Yay brownie!! And Icecream hope bloods go well. My estradiol on day 13 was 2079 and then I ov'd two days later if that helps as a guide? (Actually suspect it was the night of day 14 as had a tiny rise on day 15).

AFM just had some bloods done today to see how im going on, im hoping that its going well as they had upped my clomid and my tummy is very swollen FX im near. Then go in at some point for scan and trigger eeeeek!

Hi guys,
Tan can't help much but maybe wait it out if you can. I had one super long cycle and was a complete nut and went to my gp who was very unhelpful. If you can wait on AF then you know where your at.

Getting CD12 bloods first thing tomorrow. Did OPK test today which had 2 lines but second one faint. Bding underway for fear of missing it and DH expecting a big week!

Hopefully ovulation is near and obvious

Apologies in advance for the long post, but I need some advice.

So I got a call from FA. They said there is still absolutely NO action in the ov department for me - not even an indication that I am going to ov soon. Sigh.

This has never happened to me before. I did temping for 4 cycles after my first m/c and seemed to ov every time according to temps. Anyway, they said I can go on Clomid straight away if I like. I would need to have monitoring (at another $290, thank you very much), and I would have a scan to check lining etc.

I am really unsure as I believe this is the first time I haven't ov'd and with everything else that has gone on in the last few months, I can't blame it really (although the specialist reckons none of that should make a difference). I was looking at taking Vitex for a bit first, but the nurses said they had never heard of it and generally don't recommend chinese herbal remedies as they have not been proven to be very sound and there is not enough robust research.

I am undecided between taking the damn drugs, giving Vitex a go, or just waiting a bit longer for my body to sort itself out - even if it's just to wait for AF to show and then start Clomid at the right time (usually CD3).

Hmmm what to do?

Do you get AF if you haven't ov'd?

I have to laugh as I have been feeling unsettled and anxious that there isn't a plan in place to 'get on with it' and now there is and I am dithering!

I'm 4dpo, had a big rise today which NEVER happens at 4dpo, is almost always a fallback rise and my temp is much higher today that normal after ovulation. AND - I was really moody and grumpy last night and I was like that at the same time (3dpo) the cycle of my BFP - still unsure if it's clomid-related or something else though, but it did seem to be the same time past ov. Hi Icecream! Hope everything is going well for you! When are you having your bloods done? Are you being monitored? If so when is your scan? Exciting!!!!!

Hi ladies, have just gotten back from my appointment with FA. SORRY this may be long winded lol

The HSG scan I had yesterday showed that my Ovaries are clear and my uterus has no scaring etc!
How ever I have over 60 follicles up there at the moment which FA said is HEAPS!!! So I have now been diagnosed with PCOS...

Our plan of attack now is a higher dose of Clomid but.... he does not want to over stimulate all of these 60+ follicles, so am now on 50mg for only 3days also will be using trigger injection. Having a blood test today and the nurses will advise me when to start

the only good thing with have PCOS and longer cycles is that I maybe able to start on Friday which will be CD13 which will be amazing as we wont have to wait until AF arrives again.

So happy to finally know why we are struggling for a baby and now feel a bit more in control of getting that much closer to being a Mum,
