Wow they are really cheap compared to all other similar mei tai carriers, and look really good. I like the idea of the buckle.

I just bought a Oyako Mei Tai and it's awesome!   I had another MT on loan from Snugglez and it bunched and wasn't very comfy at all. The Oyako MT has padded shoulder and the buckled waist strap is also lightly padded, so it definitely doesn't bunch (well not yet anyway). You only need to tie the shoulder straps, so it shouldn't be too daunting for hubby to use! Having now seen an Oyako mei tai in action, they look really good! They have a buckle around the waist and thick padded waist straps that won't bunch easily. Manducas have buckles and such and men do like them but I think a mei tai is more versatile. Hubby has used the Kozy and had no trouble.

Hopes my little guy ( haha) is now 15 kg and we do 8 km 3 days a week. Once you get used to tying it so all the straps sit flat then it doesn't dig in. I actually find it more comfortable than a manduca for long walks.

ETA Kozys have padded straps also and they're wider than ssc straps.

Ooh, let me put in a vote for the manduca. I LOVE it, it's one of those purchases that we couldn't be without (especially now we've got two of them). I personally enjoy being able to just buckle it up, no tying or wrapping, and I like the way the straps spread the weight so nicely (especially for a hefty toddler - I've wondered if the fabric straps on a mei tai might tend to bunch and cut in with heavier toddlers?

In saying that, I've seen mummydee's mei tai and it looks veeery cute and comfy with a little baby. Hmmm yea Im certainly leaning more towards the Mei Tai!
I think what appeals about the Manduca is that is a bit more DH friendly (from what Ive seen!).

Just get both

I prefer my Kozy mei tai to a Manduca, I still wear ds and he's almost 3. It's still super comfy and the back still comes around the back of his head and supports it.
You can wear it on the front, back or hip. They are very simple and easy to use and adjust. Plus there is a little pocket at the end of one of the straps for your phone/eftpos card.
And they come in loads of different designs.

Im looking at a new baby carrier and have narrowed it down to either a Mei Tai or Manduca.
It will be mostly used for DD2 (8.5 months) but will no doubt be used for future babies as well.

So after positives and negatives about each to help me decide.
