Just wanted to share my issue.. I have have 4 children and the labours have not got easier. I have damage to my pelvis due to last bub as well as some weakened muscle issues in my nether regions. My last son was born with am apgar of 0 as he got shoulder dystocia; he was 10lb9.. I've just found out I'm premature with number 5 and I honestly don't think I can bring myself to go through a natural birth again 1) for the baby 2) for myself and 3) for my husband. I'm worried they are going to try and make me have this bub naturally which I know is the opposite to you

    Author: Keleho
Subject: 43442
Posted: 12 July 2013 at 3:49pm

Anyone had experience with a third natural birth after two traumatic (vaginal) births? Or birthing with a vaginal prolapse?

I saw a gynaecologist after DD2, and she suggested due to my previous births and the damage caused by DD2, I would need a c-section for any future babies. Now I'm actually pregnant, my mw feels I've been put wrong and with the appropriate assessment of the damage (which I feel has somewhat repaired itself over time), and looking in to options, I should be able to birth naturally and have a 'good' birth this time round.

I'm in two minds now - I had sort of psyched myself up for a c-section long before we started ttc, though the thought of being able to birth naturally does appeal for the recovery alone! It was rather touch and go with DD2 in particular, and I don't want that to happen again but know that a c-section doesn't necessarily mean those risks are gone either.

Plenty of time to decide what to do, but any advise welcome
