I haven't really wrapped Amelia at all. She's always slept well, and even when in hospital, the nurses would leave at least 1 arm out, as she hated being totally wrapped. out of curiosity, why don't you want her wrapped? i know for us I would prefer not to wrap Taine in summer as he a rather moist child and sweats like a trooper. we are back to square one as madison is not well with a cold and flatly refused to go down last night for some reason and after about half and hour i wraped her and she went down staight away and slept like that all night till 6.30am this morning and she wouldn't go down again this morning so i wraped her after about 30 minutes and she went to sleep fine after that so after 2 days of her not being wraped she is now a wraped baby lol we will get there.

Okay well he didn't settle with his hands out for is last sleep yesterday or first one this morning (so both times put his hands back inside his safety sleep and straight out to it), but I have just put him down now and what do you know we have success.

Now I usually put him down when he does the eye rub thing and yawns but both these times we have had success he's been grizzly along with it. no i went cold turkey with her lol and shes been fine tonight and yesterday the only thing is now thats shes got her hands back she likes taking her dummy out and trys to put it back in so its been a few extra times going in and puting her dummy in her mouth.

Some babies don't like to be wrapped but Lachlan seems to like it so we have continued doing it. He has got out the occasional time but I can count that on one hand so wasn't in any hurry to try without and now the months have just ticked on by so thought I should try something.

Well his last sleep was just over two hours so it can't have made much difference it didn't even seem to take him that long to settle. I have just put him down again now and can't seem to hear anything from his room, so will check on him shortly. Might leave the nighttime wrapping for a couple of weeks and see how the daytimes go for now.

i still wrap taine, but about ten seonds after I put him down, he wriggles out and sleeps face down bum up most nights. Oh man i have already stopped wrapping Lycan. I stopped wrapping Maya about 7-8 mths I think, just had her in the safety sleep with her arms out. Around the same time I gave her Fussy Bubba to have in the cot as a comfort and am still kicking myself for that 2 1/2 years later

I stopped wrapping Hannah when she was about 9-10 months. I started putting her in a sleepsack with her arms inside and she was happy with that. Was ages before she'd go to sleep with her arms in the sleeves, but she is fine about it now. If it doesn't work, you can "wean" them off it by wrapping them loosely. okay yip my son is nearly 8 months old so I have finally taken the step to stop wrapping him, well only today so we will see how things go. Admittedly he was very tired as we had swimming this morning, then he had settled after 15 mins so pretty pleased with that. Will be interesting to see what happens with his next sleep and of course how long he sleeps for. For about the last couple of weeks have just had his arms inside his safety sleep.
