Hi everyone congrats on your pregnancies! I followed but was just a one time poster in the 12month+ ttc forum. Am now 9+3wks after a year of unexplained infertility. Have two lovely DD's and turns out this time it's twins! Did take Clomiphene a few cycles but not the last couple! Anxiously waiting my next scan to make sure they're both ok. Can hear one heartbeat on a doppler which is very early so that's a good sign. Haha. I wake up at about the same time. Was up for about an hour last night though. I've been in bed by 9 so it's not too bad. I haven't felt sick yet but I did have a bit of heart burn which is totally not like me. Seems that you should have another blood test? ?? Tired but I keep waking at 3 or 4 but thankfully getting back to sleep
Don't feel sick but feel funny if I have not eaten recently and super super hungry (like when I was running) but fill up quick

Yay ice cream! Awesome about the progesterone. I'm waiting for my results on that from today's blood test. My hcg today was 6500. I think you and I must be due on the same day! My hcg was the same around this time in the last preg, so I'm not overly confident about it yet. It stopped rising properly after it hit 6000 at 5 weeks last time :-( fingers crossed it's different though! !! So phoned the nurse and she said anything over 80 they stop progesterone and mine was 220 and she assured me everything is good to stop after today
I might finish the packet with one at night

Hi ladies,
Thanks AA for telling me about this thread, I have read the due in thread but too scared to join yet

So to fill you in incase you don't know me from ttc, first ivf long protocol, 8 eggs, 5 fertilised, 1 day 3 put back in and 2 day 3 snow babies
Hcg on Monday 220, today 1400 + hpt on Tue just to see those two lines
7 week scan booked for 8th sep
Can't really believe it

One question that you might be able to help with is I had my progesterone checked and nurse say to drop from 3 sets of 2 tables to 3 sets of 1 for four days then stop
I will phone Monday and ask but worried about reducing and also just stopping

Thanks guys. I think I will wait until my 8 week scan and I have been cleared by FA before I seek a midwife. Probably getting a bit ahead of myself with all the excitement, but I know that it is still early days. I did come across that website AA and it is very helpful.

I had a quick read through my FA papers and it does look like it is a vaginal scan so all good - I'm very used to them.

Hi Mellow. Probably depends a bit on what you do. My scan was at 7 weeks so definitely transvaginal, too small for abdominal scan. At that point I was discharged and told to find a midwife/obstetrician. I too wanted a midwife and for things to be as normal a possible. Met my midwife at 9 weeks, she gave me scan and blood forms but your GP can do that if you go there. Also, I am due on new year's day and there were quite a few midwives not available then. I got suggestions from friends (but was a bit tricky - told them it was for a colleague at work! But also looked at findyourmidwife (google it), which is a great resource. Mellow - Good to hear from you, excited for your upcoming scan. Mine was on the tummy but couldn't get that good of a view so ended up vaginal as well. I organised my midwife once I got to the 12 week mark and to be honest they don't really need to see you before then anyway. I just looked through the internet and read the write ups they wrote and choose from there. Hi AA. Glad you are starting to feel a bit better now. I'm doing really good although my nausea is just starting, but not too bad so far - just feeling a bit blah. Had my 3rd blood result today and they have risen to 23,000. DH is freaking out that there could be twins in there but I have reassured him that the level is quite normal. I guess it is possible though, but I'm not telling him that. I have my 8 week scan on the 16th July, can't wait. Do you know - is this a vaginal scan or over the tummy? I'm so used to the vaginal scans, I guess I'm assuming it will be that.

Another question - should I start ringing around midwives? I know I am still under FA until the 8 week mark but I also know how quickly the GOOD midwives get snapped up. What did you do? We talked about going with a private OB but to be honest, I kinda want to feel like a normal person going through a midwife rather than under another specialist. I don't really know where to start looking for a midwife though, but I have searched through a few forums looking for recommendations, so hopefully I can find a good one.

Anyway, hope you are all having a good day and I too wish there were more of us in here. Really wish there were more of us in here, there hasn't been a lot of cheerful news in the TTC 12 months+ group for a long time. How are you doing mellow? when's your early scan? How's everyone else doing? I'm finally feeling better, though after the second time I threw up this morning I figured it's probably too soon to stop my anti nausea tabs after all! At least the relentless nausea has passed now and I feel like a "normal" pregnant woman with only nausea when I'm tired or hungry. Have also had a couple of comments about how I have a belly now - which is actually due to the fact that I have crappy abs and need to wee! Sort of looking forward to having an actual bump instead of just looking bloated but also loving the fact that I can fit my clothes and don't have to worry about maternity stuff just yet.
Hope everyone's going well, are you getting kitted out for baby stuff yet Mrs I? Walked into a baby factory other day, way too overwhelmed for choice. We have heaps of hand-me-downs but will need to buy a pram. Mellow totally normal - I have the same thing happen when I'm gassy. Feels different to period cramps and comes quite quick and sharp. Probably your uterus stretching a bit too. Just having a bit of a freak out moment. I seem to be having a lot of cramping which is quite painful (keeling over stuff). I had it last night but then went to the toilet which seemed to relieve it and again this morning while I was sitting at my desk. It only last for a few minutes but I'm not sure if it is the baby/uterus doing its thing or if it's just gas. Whatever it is, its making me very anxious. I am almost an expert on how to get pregnant, but haven't got a clue what to do once I'm there I'm certainly learning a lot from all of you. A part of me is feeling very excited that after 5 yrs of TTC we might finally be there, but I am also very anxious that this might not last, so I guess I don't want to get my hopes up in case it all turns sour. I'm sorry to hear your scan didn't go too well BC. I really hope your next scan has more promising results. I have got my FX for you.

I had a second BT yesterday and my HCG levels have gone from 240 (4w) to 1300 (4w4d), so I'm guessing that is good. The FA nurse seemed very happy with the result. Have got another BT in a weeks time and then a scan at 8 weeks mid July (all going well that is). Not feeling much in the way of preg symptoms but I have noticed that when I get up in the morning, I have to eat straight away. I usually hop straight in the shower first, but my empty stomach has other ideas.

So scan. Yeah not exactly the best day really. While I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive it's not looking good for us. Turns out my one embryo split into two.....yes people there are twins in my uterus! However were unable to find heartbeats on either. Have a repeat scan in a week to see if perhaps it was a little early as they're measuring smaller but like I said I ain't holding my breath as much as dh implores me to not get upset just yet. Pretty gutting since I feel very pregnant so the thought of spending a week feeling like this for nothing is quite hard to take. Anyway I won't be Debbie downer any more. Hi all, hope you're doing well. When is your scan BC? And how many weeks are you now? I'm 12 weeks on Thursday and had our scan today. All good, very weird to see a 5cm baby swallowing and flailing around. Very cool though. Also telling people now, which is super fun, nice to have a whole lot of people excited for us. AND today I don't feel like death! Still nauseous all the time but I managed to do a little bit of housework and went for a walk. Baby steps.

Hey bc! I've been over in the pregnant after miscarriage thread mostly, was just telling the ladies that I ended up having my first scan today rather than Sat as I managed to get in :) All good and am dating 1 day ahead of my dates which is great. Saw heart beating away with external u/s though he didnt tell me the heart rate as he said he doesn't measure it this early as long as he can see it beating away well. Said it all looked great and he'd see me at 12wks (though I'm going to go back at around 10wks). BC -yay for no more bloods, you will be really looking forward to your scan! I too have a small house! Got given a mountain buggy stroller and other baby gear last weekend and it has all just kind of been put in the corner of the spare room - need to have a massive throw away session in our garage etc before sorting baby stuff. Think the next school hols in 4 weeks will be the time to start sorting it all out.

16 weeks tomorrow! Saw the midwife today and she had to chase the heartbeat around as one very active baby in there - can't wait to feel proper movements any day now maybe

Hi ladies so good to hear tests and scans went well. Lucky that's such great news about your scan especially after the nervous time you've had.
Well I'm over the moon my HCG is at 47,900 at 6w3d so very very happy and midwife very happy. Need to remind myself that each pregnancy is different and last time I was SO nauseas and exhausted and sadly tht still ended in mc :( Have my sights set on first scan now next Sat morning...

Going to pop in see the midwives today. We have a clinic which is run by three of them on a roster basis. Good luck for BTs ladies. I have the flu, which I'm blaming for my last grumpy post! Spent all day throwing up with high temps yesterday, but GP today found a lovely strong heartbeat. Phew. Glad all is going well for you and Mac, fingers firmly crossed that you're just going to breeze through this pregnancy, with no symptoms but a thoroughly nestled in bub.

So BT came back better than expected again - up to 34,000 from 7,800 in 6 days. I really know some of you are hanging out for symptoms but plenty of women go through their pregnancies without nausea or any worries. I know we're not all those other women but right now, you can all take a bit of mine...
I had a lookin my diary and blergh feeling didn't start till 6w4d. Now I'm 9w4d and completely over it. Constant nausea, tho the vomiting has stopped with the meds. Can only face xarbs and the smell of: my husband. Coffee. My fridge. The entire house. Baby heads (previously the best smell in the world) and garlic. Am actually loving the fact that I have some nasal congestion starting cos it reduces my sense of smell.
So, I'm trying very hard not to say 'you should feel lucky', cos we all know how obnoxious that is. But just don't wish TOO hard.

On the plus side, I managed to eat a sausage tonight, first protein in weeks. AND I've finished progesterone! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
Hope all is going well with tests and scans and avoiding googling. Mac, I don't have any nausea yet either. I only have sore boobs. Mac, are you still having acupuncture? That could be saving you from having morning sickness. My friend had acupuncture and didn't have morning sickness.

Have been having some on/off mild achy cramps tonight.. last time this happened it was gas, so hoping it's the same this time.. although I know it's still normal to have some crampy feelings. Have been feeling anxious again over the weekend so going to get another BT on Tuesday.

Just sore swollen boobs! Pretty tired as well but nothing major.
