Some sperm carry the X-chromosome and some sperm carry the Y-chromosome. If an X-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl. If a Y-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a boy.

So our eggs dont play a role in which gender you get!

Anecdotally, if you do the deed close to ov then you're a bit more likely to have a boy, and if it's a day or so before then more likely to have a girl, but it's pretty random. Most families I know with 4 kids have 3 of one type and 1 of the other, so generally the more kids you have the more likely you'll have at least one of each sex!

Obv would be thrilled with a healthy baby any gender, but want to know my chances of having a baby girl! I'm not sure what Statistic's apply to our situation lol, he can obviously father a girl, but can I only have sons?!
