I also know you can spot while pregnant as I did with both my pregnancies (my son and my m/c). Generally spotting is old blood, and not fresh red.

However, it's possible you aren't ovulating yet, and just getting random hormonal spotting too.It varies so much from person to person! With my son I bled for 5 weeks post-birth, had a week off, then had a period. After that I didn't have anything until he was 7 mths old.

I guess a pregnancy test is the only way to know!

    Author: Guest_77572
Subject: 44381
Posted: 14 November 2014 at 4:08pm

I'm currently breastfeeding my 14 week old baby, my periods have resumed ,regularly but instead of bleeding for near on week I seem to for only a few days and that's it and its more spotting this month and when I wipe, sorry for tmi. My partner and I aren't trying for another but we are also not preventing. So my question is, if my period has started back does that mean I'm ovulating already? I strangely thought I may have been pregnant this month but have spotted for a few days now ,I thought I wasn't due until tomorrow but I guess things are still settling down from birth. Has anyone had any experiences of getting pregnant soon after birth while breastfeeding, and if you could still spot and be pregnant.
