Hiya,

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if any of you have ever needed a cervical stitch? I had a cone biopsy over 6 years ago and I was told that when pregnant there might be a chance that I would need a stitch to keep baby safe and sound till the due date. I told my midwife this and she referred me to a specialist so that I can get a scan and see if I need this stitch or not. Still waiting to get this appointment... Just a bit apprehensive cos I really have no idea what to expect. I don't want to have to wait too long though...in general, how long should it take for a specialist to get back to you? I am new in NZ so don't really know much about the health system here...
