Sounds a little bit clingy. She may be coming down with something but is still early days.... has she had a cold lately or anything? Thanks CaraMel...that actually sounds a lot like Alyssa too, wanting to be held all the time. I just came back from my 4 month Plunket visit a moment ago and the lady there said Alyssa is at the age where she becoming more aware of her surroundings and will probably be more clingy. Hi Pepsi,
No solutions here sorry, but I can sympathise!
Benjy has also been a lot more unsettled during his awake times and hasn't done a long sleep at night for a while. I kind of wrote it off as him becoming more aware and alert when he is awake and not wanting to be one his own, i.e. not being held, as he settles straight away if I pick him up. (although as much as I looooove cuddling him, I'm not really willing to do it 24/7!)

Anything can put babies sleeping backwards at night. I am experiencing that at the moment but my wee man isn't well so I can understand that, but I am already wishing it would go back to normal.

I have noticed that in the last 3-4 days that Alyssa has been really grizzly and in fact it feels like she spends most of her awake time being unhappy and grumpy. I don't see any signs of it being teething, and don't think it's a growth spurt as she isn't drinking more than usual.. It's very frustrating as she just doesn't seem herself and is smiling a lot less although still manages to crack a smile when she feels like it.

The last couple of mornings she has woken up at 4:30am and then 5:30am when previously she was sleeping through to at least 7am. She had started sleeping up to 11 1/2 hours just before things seemed to go backwards to 8 hours (which is still good of course)..But yeah, strange..
