I really feel for you Clare. my baby brother was in the Navy and went to Timor in the very first boat that went over a few years back, it was so, so scary. He was even on Holmes. I just cried for days. It is their job, though and they got the job they applied for, if that makes any sense? My brother is in the Army, but they left on a big Airforce Hercules. Pretty impressive looking craft I must say!

Aw that's so scary, I currently have a friend in the airforce who last i heard was on a ship to iraq, stopping over in Dubai (sp?) her brother is in the army and is currently in east timor too, I would hate being their mum, it must be so worrysome.

Am feeling very sad right now My brother has just flown out from Ohakea for an 8 month tour of duty in East Timor. My mum was there to see him off, with his partner and two babies, and she sent me a few pxt's of the morning, the last one coming in at 9am of the Airforce plane taking off. My baby brother
