Hey that's awesome news that Mikey is now sleeping through. I bet you don't know yourself!! I've been told by a lot of my friends just leave them to it, its their bedtime and they will fall asleep when they are ready and tired enough.

We have the same problem with Alex who is 12 months. In the end we got him a sleeping bag and left him to get himself to sleep. You can put him in the safety sleep sideways, Erin has tried to roll with it on but doesn't get very far.

Everyone else has said it, but honestly hte best thing at that age is jdut to leave him to it if he is happy to play for a while we still have to do that to Alan he will just drop off eventually when he is tired. I can't imagine he would take too well to the safty sleep now he is older.

Hi ella! We just leave Joey to his own devices... he is in his sleeping bag and I know he is safe because even standing he can't get out of his cot. He goes to sleep eventually usually in a crazy position but we go in when he is asleep and just lie him the right way....

Im not sure Id be much help as my baby is only 4 and a half months old, but what about one of them saftey sleeps? Or can babies still sit up somehow with them too? I have the problem of my lil man kicking his blankets off everytime I put him to bed, its really annoying but I just have to go in there once hes asleep and pull them back up, but if hes in a sleeping bag he cant do that. Anyway im off the subject now.. I hope you figure something out! You might just have to pop him down, let him play or whatever, and tuck him back in when he's reached the "really tired" stage. If he isn't getting upset and just playing around I would just leave him, he will eventually drop off to sleep and just keep a blanket handy that you can thow over him when you go in to check on him later. so we've finally got mikey pretty much sleeping through the night (yessss!!) but now the problem is going to sleep. he's in his sleeping bag but when we leave him he sits up and crawls around in bed and won't go to sleep. i've tried pinning the sleeping bag to the sheet but it keeps coming undone and i really don't want to prick him.
