...actually, I'd heard years ago that using tampons at night can be dangerous with toxic shock, plus the whole flooding thing post surgery, so use libra at night. I got really ticked off last month when I got 2 with the same odd spots on! That's good to know. I might discuss it with DH and give it a go! He's still coming around to the idea of fertility treatment, so I'll let this cycle run its course, and possibly one more cycle, so we're at 6 months post-op.

Hugs to you Ginger. I had my initial Fert Assoc appointments on the North Shore and got in pretty quick there, I think within about 4 weeks. I just rang them directly and booked in and just told them that my GP had referred - they never asked for any proof of the referral. You could try that? Also when I decided to go ahead with IVF I rang FA Ascott in Greenlane on the Thursday and was in to see Dr Neil Buddicom the following Monday! He was really good. I know with me personally I didn't care what specialist I saw, just whoever could see me in the shortest timeframe.

AF is due next weekend my2angels, so until then I can't say for sure I haven't ...I just assume!

My cervical position is typical for AF being due - low and soft, so I doubt anything interesting is going on in there, but then I'm only about 6DPO, so I don't know if it would be any different at this stage anyway.

I know that if you're trying to get an appointment with Mary Birdsall she is very popular and books up fast, but there is another specialist bloke there who is really lovely - I just can't remember his name I probably have a letter from them floating around here somewhere, will go on the hunt for it later today. My point is I think, that you might be able to get in to see him sooner (if you're OK with a male dr for this type of thing).

And thanks Jess! I'm hoping that once I've writtent o the specialist she'll put me on a waiting list for an appointment. I can pretty much drop everything without much notice (my work is good like that) and take off for an appointment.

I had another bad start to the day, but it does seem to be limited to the *start* of the day ...otherwise it's just 'creaky' pains. Who knows? I said to DH this morning that it just upsets me because I can't get away from it, and I feel broken ...especially with still not managing to conceive. Still! And it isn't silly to think you will fall pregnant after a procedure - your surgeon thought so, and you hear all the time stories about people falling preg after a surgery that you naturally start thinking you might too.

After waking up for the second morning in a row with a heavy feeling pain, I decided enough was enough and it was time to go back to my specialist. My surgery was on 12th September, over 4 months ago. Admittedly, after 3 3 *horrendous* periods post-surgery, my last period was definitely improved, however the constant nagging 'creaky' pains started on day 2 of my cycle, and just haven't stopped. They come and go, but they're there. Essentially, things are much the same as before the surgery, but perhaps not quite as bad. I was also intending to seek a referral to Fertility Associates.

The first appointment she has available is 21st March

At this stage, I am going to send my questions in via post, and also request the referral. I'm guessing that getting into Fertility Associates is going to involve a good wait too I really should have insisted in getting a referral and making an appointment for 6 months out with Fertility Associates when I had my surgery, but at the time my surgeon was so confident that we'd fall pg quickly, I was inclined to run with that. Silly me!

How hopeless.
