Yeah my parents were like that Janine and I hope to be too. Safety first. Nah. I dunno, I guess I wasn't in the popular crowd so have a bit of a jaded view of the "popular facists" lol.

I think I'll leave my advice and see what comes up as it's needed - who knows how they'll be. I think of Paris being studious and popular, I think of Ayja being outgoing and fun-loving. They could be different, they could rebel, they could despise all the facist mindless crap. lol. either way, I'll be there for them. well not sure if this is to much info but one thing i am going to say to my daughter when she gets to the thinking of sex age is that sex at that age is totally over rated and really only satisfying for the guy. Hopefully if she isnt expecting it to be this wonderful thing she might actually wait till she is old enough to enjoy it unlike myself and half the teenagers out there. Lets face it most teenage guys dont really know how to make it satisfying for girls. Obviously wont go into a lot of detail though, just hopefully put her off for a while.

I also want to encourage them to do what makes them happy and support them wether it be in sport or education. I was never really encouraged to take my sport seriously and here I am an overweight couch potato who back in her day was a really good netballer and cyclist (if i do say so myself.)

Another is that they will only be young and carefree for a limited time so enjoy it while you can.

Hmmm - not quite in the same vein as yours, but whenever I have kids bemoaning whatever in their life (nothing serious of course), I tell them:

I think we all grew up and face adversity from some corner and I was wondering what little coined phrase or piece of information you wish to pass on to your kids (as children, teenagers or adults) would be. Maybe you have started it already? Maybe there is a particular one that you wish to share with others? Maybe there is one that is a little comical?
