They have settled in frequency, still quite soft but not going through anymore. The regularity seems to be settling so I'm still just riding it out. It has been two weeks tho yep, just before Baby came. She LOVES apples, grabs them and eats the whole thing - at first I thought that might be the problem. The strange thing is that she has not been unsettled or grizzly or extra-tired at all! The cutting tooth is not even a bother to her. Yep she's drinking a lot. Its not "supposed" to but then every child is different. How long has it been now, is she still drinking pleanty? Is she still eating, seems happy (not a great indicator as the girls have to be really sick not to be happy). You could try getting her to eat some grated apple, see if that helps. Hard when they can't tell you what is going on aye.

Ugh.
Okay she is finally cutting her last front tooth (already has 4 molars lol) so that will explain why the rash is being so stubborn.

From the information they gave me ... "Campylobacter infection is caused by bacteria which are found in the gut of birds especially poultry, and animals such as cattle, sheep, cats and dogs. It is passed on in the faeces of infected birds, animals and humans" - been walking round the cows lately!?!?
"People become infected when they swallow the bacteria. This may be from contaminated water and food, or from contact with infected animals or humans."
Anastasia never got white spots leading to the thrush, just the raw patches of skin from what looked & smelt like "Acid Poo" (sorry tmi). Rash has settled now, just 3 dirty, normalish naps today.

We have just had a week-or-so from hell with diarrhoea, nappy rash and testing positive for campylobacter. Anastasia had really smelly & regular naps and rash started up and just got worse, just after Jax had posted that Erin had thrush. I started with micreme H & zinc & castor oil which helped with rash but she was getting unsettled at night and off most of her food. So off to Dr and took the nappy from during the night incase sample needed. Dr said there has been a few cases around lately and that she had thrush as well but we were doing all that we could and just had to wait for test results to come back. Dr didnt want to give anything to stop diarrhoea incase of bowel perfferation we just had to wait it out. Lucky Im still breastfeeding so we didnt have to give her anything else apart from water, just very nackered from getting up 2 or 3 times during the night to settle.

Oh I have forgotten to check for teeth

One of her nappies smelt like vomit today and she's still pooping quite regularly.... none between breakfast and lunch today but two between 6pm and 9pm . DH is starting to wonder about allergies. (None in the family though.) Another couple of days of it and I'll be heading off to the Doctor.

LOL at Nikki

I agree that the nappy rash is probably a frequency thing. Maya had diarrohea for about 3 mths continuously (allergy thing) and with it came constant nappy rash. I found using curash at every change helped.

Like evryone else said too I'd be more concerned about whats causing the diarrohea if it doesn't get better maybe a trip to the doc is on the cards.

Well, I'd say the rash is just because of the frequency of her poos... and the frequency of poos indicates that there is something going on there that is a little out of the ordinary... and that out of the ordinary might also be making her poos create the rash too.

If the poos are returning to normal-ish then I'd just do my best with the rash over the next few days to clear it. If it isn't clearing and the poos stay a bit strange then I'd take her to the doc. That's just me tho!

How do you know when nappy rash isn't nappy rash anymore?

Briona has had chocolate-coloured poo for a week and a half now, it's soft but seeps through clothes etc. It was with every single nappy change initially, now it's still almost every change. Of course she has a nappy rash with it. She's not red all over but just has small spots (circles) of raw-ness... hope that makes sense. She has come out with fresh, tiny (like pimples) spots on her bottom today so even though the diahhorea is maybe finally settling, the rash seems to be just picking up.....
