re doubling...rather than use another one...there is a way of folding them that mum shows me (OMG i need to practice!!!) the doubles the inside...an old nursing trick she had from years of midwifery and in NICU etc....the nappy is really thick that way...and we are still going to use a liner on it too...

Does it have a hemp insert or a microfibre one?

My swaddlebee used to leak up a storm, but then Deb let me know that it was probably because the hemp was getting flooded and wasn't able to absorb the wees fast enough.

Otherwise... you might need to boost it with something.

Orrr... the cut could just not be right for Charlie as it is quite a different cut compared to other naps.

I use the cloth flats during the day with the liners and use Curash powder at every change and my girls have never had a rash. I got some great and fairly inexpensive covers called Bravo Wraps from www.babyonline.co.nz and I also use some of my pocket nappies as covers.

I guess it comes down to reasons for/against disposables/clothies. Heard good things about Bummis Whisper Pants... easy to put on and not to hot in this sort of weather.

Don't get fluffies or PVC pants (Fluffies are quite leaky and PVC doesn't breathe)

Doubling = folding a separate nappy and placing it so that it goes all down the middle of the nappy you are putting on. Will be sticking to sposies at nite till i feel confident about cloth! I am finding i am changing them more often, but i have enough to last me 2 days so as long as i keep up todate with washing i should have no problems there.Have got the disposable liners but Dont have any over pants, that will be our 1st purchase next time in town! And no never heard of doubling?!?!?!?!

Flats are not too difficult. You may need to change them more often, and definitely watch the leg holes for seepage. ive just got some old fashioned white nappy cloths but seriously lookin into a nappy like fuzzibunz after all you ladies have raved about them. Have yet to do any research tho. Thank you all for the directions. i will deff look into the web sites when i have a free minute!! also it depends on what sort of nappy you are using...
