I met a lovely one today at the hospital - her name was Noelene - but not sure of her surname sorry.

She is open, friendly, caring and is most concerned about what you want and about you staying in control of your situation. I really liked her. lesley is in the same clinic as Jenny who i have as my midwife.
Im shocked at how sort on midwifes they are up here, I had real trouble finding one, for the amount of pregnant mums in Lower Hutt you'd think there would be enough midwifes esp since its a city.

Jenny is lovely, I had trouble with the midwife I first chose and her back up and my friend gave me Michelles number to call, and michelle actually put me onto her.
She is exactly like my midwife I had with Haleigh in Motueka so Im fully impressed, shes got loads of experience and isnt pushy, which is what I wanted.
I would certainly highly recomend her or Michelle

Hi

Does anyone know of a good midwife in Lower Hutt? I have called two midwives so far, one is on annual leave until the end of Feb (she did say in her voice message that she has some vacanies free for October) and the other is alreay busy. Both midwives were recommended to me.

I don't want to randomly ring around just in case I can't find a good one, I'd rather go off recommendations.

The midwife that is away until end of Feb sounds great, but I'm unsure if I should wait that long (I'll be 8 weeks by then).

Any advice would be appreciated
