It cost us $10 per child, and for that they got a Happy Meal, an ice cream and a loot bag. They didn't do any games etc. but the party room was right by the playground so the kids were well entertained anyway.

They tried to stick us in the smallest party room too despite me having booked way early (am I sensing a theme here Janine?) but I have no tact and told them in no uncertain terms to fix it . So they put us in the bigger room and crammed a bigger group into the smaller room - soooo not my fault, when I booked we were given the choice of times and rooms coz they had no bookings at that stage so we obviously booked first.

I'd do it again, it was worth it just for the no-mess factor, and the fact that the kids could run riot. Maya had her party this year at Chipmunks which was along similar lines - I'm all for parties anywhere except home!

Ad it actually works out cheaper. Chipmunks cost me $140 for 8 kids plus coffees for all the adults and my lunch. McD's was $120 for 12 kids. Her first two birthdays I did myself cost me over $500 each by the time I did food for everyone, decorations, loot bags etc.

Mike did his usual and went a bit nuts.. in his demandingly polite way.. so we got into the big room, provided we start the party half an hour early (great except our guests weren't all there yet) but were rushed through and asked to leave after an hour and a half because the other people that had "booked" the big room were due to come. ARGH, so angry so fricken angry - we had to rush cutting the cake then all ushered out into the kids area, which being a saturday around lunch time - was noisy and full of big kids.

Did they kick you out of the party room after the official party time had ended? YES.. before

What activities did they have for the children? as above

Did they do anything for the adults that were there? nope,

Anything else you would like to add?
Have since booked the party room for ayja's 2nd to continue tradition (that and i can't mentally handle doing home parties 2 yrs in a row) - they have now changed it.. you can only have it at 2pm or 4pm, on saturday. is $12 a head for plain mcdonald theme - no longer do disney.

we'll see how it goes. won't take crap this time, last time i just was past it cos i had an 8 week old baby to contend with.
