I was TT at 12 months so if she wants to try her. Don't worry about eating poos, my friend would eat mine when we were babies. Silly mothers put us in the same cot together and he would rip my nappy of me all the time and sit there and eat away. Its funny now but when we were first told we so did not believe them. i used to put some sort of trainig pants type thing on gabriel to contain the mess when he was going nappy less. pooh on the floor just aint fun.

I think it's probably best to wait until 20+ months as well... unless she takes off her nappy right before going, most times? In which case she does know her own body signals.

Trouble is, you're going to have to carry her to the loo, lift her on, wipe her... until she's 2 or 3 so that's another mission! Have you tried putting shorts or undies over her nappies, can she get them off too? Maybe it'll be overalls for the next year

I was toilet trained at 13 months...my lucky mother! Mum reckons I took my nappy off and that was it.

I think it is best to wait till they are walking and have a little more understanding.

My carpet is a mess from where Tyrell has had his nap off and crawled whilest going....LOL

Be careful not to try and potty train her before she is ready or else it could make her take more than she would normally. At 11 months I am on the understanding and from experience that is way too early and its more the parents are potty trained more thn they are - meaning you read the signs before she does.
I personally I would wait till at least a year and a half as they are a. walking b. getting to realise whats happening. c. research has said that the brain does not connect to that part of the body till I think after 1 and half years (ppl can correct me on the age as I think it maybe 2)
Although not very pleasent getting poos arond the place. due to having bad nappy rash rhiannon is in disposables at the moment...although tomorrow she is back in her normal nappies...

and yes she can undo the snap buttons on her nappies...just like she can take the saftey plug things out of the plug holes...

going to get a potty and have it around the house...and some panties just so there is something on her...

you'll prob want to wait till rhiannons walking before you start toilet training her Kaz, but it wont be long we are at the undies stage with Haleigh and shes now finally letting us know when she wants to go and can keep her undies dry for over an hr before we get an accident, we've had a few times in the potty.
Haleighs pood on the floor accidently but she was in tears when seh did it and thankfully holds on now till she has something on.
I wouldnt think she would be able to undo the snaps on ehr nappies?? If you are using disposables use some masking tape and put a layer around the entire top of nappy, this makes it really hard for them to get it off as they cant access tabs,

Or how about using those training pants (the towelling type ones) when she has no nappy on, it might just contain the mess a little.

At least she hasn't started doing poo paintings on the wall like my neice used to (hopefully)
