i know what you mean bobbie when i have a baby i have images of me poking my partner saying your turn several times in a row early morning. Bumblefoot we were out the door at 8am this morning with our 'special delivery' - everyone else was sleeping in though 'cause we got it there in 25mins! (nope we weren't even speeding). But it isn't raining in Akl and I'll bet it's a lot warmer too! I think I'd go for a sleep in too if I were in your situation.

Oh no! I missed the striking information - I hope we don't have to wait too long. I'd like to know before we start the next cycle.

Hmm should be more positive make that If we start a new cycle.

wrxchic I'm a disaster in the morning - even waking up long enough to put a thermometer in my mouth is a challenge. I don't know how I'll go when I have a baby.

Oh we asked the medlab receptionist when we would likely hear about results and she had no idea *sigh*

Took a look outside this morning and decided that it just wasnt the right day for it. My partner sleeps in all week as he works for himself while i get up at 7-7.30 to go to work then come the weekend he is up between 7-8 telling me we have a busy day of work!!! It drives me insane some weekends cos most of it he could have got done during the week without my help if he got up early!!! You're gonna think I'm nuts then ... I CAN'T SLEEP IN ... EVER I will wake between 5.30am and 7am, never any later and I cannot go back to sleep. As soon as I stir a bit PING my eyes are open and I'm awake. Therefore if I need to get more sleep I have to make an effort to goto bed earlier. My whole family are early risers though, drives all of our partners nuts, but then again their sleeping in drives us nuts

Funny thinking about how cold it is down there. I'm in Auckland and today I woke up thinking Brrrrr it's cold ... I better put some socks on I forget what real COLD is like. I grew up in Taupo where it often gets into the negatives over winter and I've gone sooo soft since moving.

I hope you don't have to wait all week for the results. Im pretty certain she wasnt joking, which is even harder to believe, think how I felt as she was telling me this wee pearler of information, while draining me of what felt like all the blood in my arm!

Ive convinced DP to dohis 'thing' bright and early tomorrow and Il get it there in due time, then we should get the results on Monday, or since they are striking most of the week, on Friday. Would just be nice to get the results all at once so we can move on to the next phase.

So think of me here in FREEZING Dunedin, couriering our wee parcel to the lab at 10am in the morning, while you are sniggled up warm in bed (I hope so anyway, anyone who cant make the most of a sleep in, has some problems! Im soooo tired lately, that all I wana do is sleep!

Hmm yeah that is creepy. I wonder if it was a joke though - they do tell you to keep the sample in cotton wool or next to your skin while traveling - but yeah hopefully they have some cotton wool on site for packing it.

I get to transport DH's sample - though he's handing it over. We had docs visit today, and has ordered DP to have spermies tested too. She said an hpur was the max, and the lab lady said she even puts some samples down her top to keep them at body temp til they are tested. Wasnt sure how to take that, and not sure if DP would take the news too well1

I too, will have to take the sample in, just not a guy thing I guess. Will hopefully do it tomorrow, as Ive alredy done my bloodwork and all.

The lady at the lab said all our results (including the swimmers) will be available to us in 24-48hrs. Which I think is pretty quick.

My doctor also told me that an hour is the limit. He said half an hour is ideal but anything over an hour is getting a bit dodgy. Luckily we got it there in about 20 minutes. DH flat refused to take it into MedLab, so I had to do it for him. He was pretty gutted about the transparent jar and bag!

Hi girls,
As I mentioned in another thread thanks to Blardy medlab my hubby didn't actually get to make his deposit but he did 'step up' as it were and he was worried about the volume of his sample too - I think it's probably pretty normal given the conditions.

I'm interested in the half hour window you guys are all talking about - our form from medlab says we have an hour to deposit the goods. But after their last stuff up I'm a bit dubious.

We're going this Sat morning to hopefully beat the traffic as much as possible but we have to travel from Takapuna to Mt Wellington (which for all you non-Aklders is a fair distance esp given Akl drivers and Akl traffic). I don't think we'd make it in 30mins even at 8am on a Sat Has anyone else been told an hour???

p.s. My DH would prob kill me too if he knew I was discussing his sample Laurie - but hey whatcha gonna do?

My DH thought his 'sample' was pathetice too. It didn't worry me, my main concern was getting them to the lab within the specified 30 mins. We ended up having to chase the results up after about 2 weeks because we hadn't heard anything back.

DH was feeling a little stink this morning as he thought his "sample" was a bit pathetic due to the conditions it was created in. Anyone else find this? It would be nice to rest his poor wee mind at ease....
