It was great to see everyone, even though we turned up late and had to leave early!
Kellz and Anna it was great to meet you and your lovely bubbas - the one and only time two Islas are in the one place together probably!
Bombshell, Gabriella is just gorgeous. So teeny! And so cool to see the mystery guest - Erin is so cute Jax.
I kept trying to get over to talk to people but was in fear of stepping on or tripping over a little person, there were so many of us! I don't know who the little blond cutie was that 'helped' pick up DD's rattle toy, but he was soooo cool.

Yeah I am a bit gutted I didn't get to meet more of you but master Xanda decided that he had a lot of energy yesterday, so spent most of the morning chasing him around the food court and returning complete strangers belongings to them after he stole a bag off a poor ladys chair.

the waikato meetup - aka TOBYS big escape...yes the best part of the day was everyone running around the mall trying to find toby...have to say i was scared crapless i would have to storm the mens rooms looking for him...Deb I felt for you hun...heres hoping you got a nice STRONG drink at some point...Ngaruawahia or at home LOL....talk about letting us see what we are in for in years to come...if you see Gabriella on a leash you will know it is all tobys fault!!! or Emmas??? hmmm.....LMAO!!!!

The gremlins were definitely eyeing up Kahtrell - and anyone else in reaching distance. Poor lil Isla had her toys taken off her by one big heffalump gremlin, and the other one was desperately trying to eat her

It was well worth the trip down, we had a great time, Maya is quite taken with Kellz, and also BSDH who appeared with a fluffy and easter eggs - that's made him her friend for life!

cool...i know how to get there for sure...too many years at waikato uni!!! no starbucks there when i was there tho..think last time i knew the only one was in town...but am sure my nose will find it...altho will have to switcvh off the gloria jean coffee finder radar to the starbucks one...LMAO!!!

oh and DH will have been doing a technicians job - so dont complain if he is smellier than usual...UGH!!! am hoping we will be early enough that he can skive a shower at a friends house (Rach in case u are reading / lurking!!!)

I'm ok meeting people face to face, but on the phone I get really flustered and say really really stupid stuff. Today I had to ring the property manager of our house and let them know that we had a new phone number, and I got all nervous and paused on a word. It came out as "hi, I'm just calling to err, let you know that uhh, we have a fffffffone line now, and err, that you should know it, because you might want to ring us and yeah". She thought I was ringing her up to tell her we had had a fire!!

I also tend to repeat myself heaps and add lots of extra garbled words that I don't need to. She asked something about our shower mixer dripping and I spent five minutes telling her that the plumber had came once, but hadn't returned. "Oh, well, he came, but then he had to leave, so he came back a while later and said that he would have to do something else, then he tried to call, but he called the cellphone and I missed it, so I waited for him to call again, but he didn't and then so that's why I thought you should know the phone number, because then the plumber might ring, and so yeah, the shower isn't fixed.."

   I swear to god I'm so articulate in real life and in writing, but I fall to pieces on the phone..

Yup I'm Whakatane born n bred. Lived there my whole life until I turned 18 and went to Uni. I'm ok with taking the bus, my partner told me there's a button I have to push that lifts up the chairs so the stroller can fit in there lmfao.

Chartwell is easy to find, just follow the signs when coming from Auckland.

Hope this helps you out-of-towners coming in from the northern end of Hamilton....

Here are directions from the main road heading into town that goes past the base (SH1)

Turn left at the first round-a-bout after the base(it has BK at it)
Go straight through the next r-a-b. This will take you over the Pukete Brigde and onto other side of river.

Go straight through r-a-b directly after bridge.

Go right at the next r-a-b(well, there's only 2 ways at that r-a-b, so it's more of a vere (spl?) to the right)

Go right at the next r-a-b

You will now be on the road that Chartwell is on (Hukanui Rd).

Chartwell is on your right. Turn into the parking entrance to foodtown (the first one you get to) then go left into the ground level of the undercover parking. There are baby parks at the top end of the undercover part.

Starbucks is on Level 2 at the 'new' end.

Yes - there are HEAPS of r-a-bouts

Baysmum - fine by me! I can introduce them all to the delights of country living, they can play with our very friendly and tame calves, and the puppy would have a ball!! The cat would just plonk herself down and wait for the love. 95% of our household would love it - DF might freak though!!!

Woohoo, so next Friday it is. Where is Starbucks in Westfield?? I know Westfield but haven't been in there since they did their renovation.

Trying to think of the easiest way from SH1...would it be coming in from the Te Rapa roundabout and bypassing the main street?? I think it's pretty well signposted, if I remember right...if someone can think of a better way, cool, otherwise I'll post some directions from the Te Rapa roundabout (by The Base). It all sounds good to me! chartwell, starbucks, etc all good these ways!!...as long as its ok with kelly! lol

Oh and Glow im venturing in with my 3 yr old toad!! so your not alone!! just bring lots of toys and food and youl be right! and anyway my toad is going through a silly stage and instead of being his normal overly friendly self - he is now very grumpy and shy so he may not even leave my side!! lol

Its going to be a great turn out by the sounds of it! sooooo cant wait!!

oh and minik8e - be careful what you offer as you might end up going home with half a dozen babies and toddlers!!
