Sorry BSDH... you probably won't get a heap of sympathy here.  But we women need to have a whinge and vent about our DH's every now and then, love em as we do.  And it's such a relief sometimes to hear that other people are going through some of the same stuff, that being overworked and unpaid is something most mother's share - it's nice to know you're not alone in it.  So let us vent - it's one less thing out DH's have to listen to when they get home!  And we usually 'get' that you men need to do the same - but you'll get better results if you whinge in a more testosteroney venue, I think! 

Is 'testosteroney' even a word?!?  Ah well...

Well you all must still have far too much time on your hands if you can get on here and Bitch and Moan about we men are doing. Us Dh's and Dp's are so busy making sure you all have roofs over your heads and food on you r tables and cloth's to wear and if your BS gas in your car that we made need Me day's I like me day's when I can go down to the boat and potter around nobody to bother you no dumb F#*ks Asking questions(work) not talking.. HE got annoyed at me this am as i wanted to upload photos of ella and email...I got yelled at that he was waiting to have a shower...ummmmm he couldnt have done that instead of watching cartons downstairs???? hmmmmm

oh yeah and apparently last nite he had given heaps of time to his daughter and felt it was my turn so could i PLEASE come take her - excuse me....it was less than 20 mins with him and i had her ALL day and got dinner etc etc etc.....OMG!!!

I had to laugh the other night though - DH had been uncharacteristically moody around me since the day before.  Finally, Ella was asleep, my housewifely duties (!?!) were finished, and I could sit down with him, ready to watch House.  But he still seemed pi$$y about something... so I heaved a big sigh and reluctantly asked him if he wanted to talk about his feelings, then muttered something along the lines of "oh lord, no" when he said yes and actually started to!  All I needed was a beer in hand and I'd sooo be the man!

What is it with men always thinking they have the monopoly on tiredness and stress????? My day goes a little something like this: 6am wake up when Joshua does - up, Jman dressed, bottle, breakfast; 7am DP gets up, me shower and back downstairs, make lunches, tidy, dishes etc; 8.15am - Jman to daycare, us to work; 2.30pm - me leave work, collect Jman, home, unload dishwasher, prepare Jman dinner, play with Jman, give him dinner 6.15pm - DP home, DP baths Jman, me prepare our dinner, make bottles, give Jman bottle, 20mins getting him to sleep; 7.30 - start cooking dinner; 8.30pm - eat dinner, do dishes, tidy house 9.30pm bed for me..... DP's day - 7am - wake up, eat breakfast, drink coffee; 7.45 - shower, get ready for work; 8.15am - go to work; 6.15pm - get home, small rest, bath Jman, then chill out FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT.....

Dunno about you guys, but MAN..... MEN P*** ME OFF SOMETIMES!!!

Sigh. MEN! My DH often goes to work late in the mornings because he just needs to sleep in since he worked late the night before. This morning he gave me that excuse, so I got up, got Em dressed and breakfasted and ready to go see Emma for a meeting, and was rushing around, cleaning up, feeding the dog, packing our stuff... When I came back into the bedroom to get a sweater, I found him in bed reading a new science fiction novel! When he saw me, he whipped it under the covers. GRR!

And I get that same excuse for needing a day off -- that he needs "me time" -- and then he does exactly what your DH does, gandt. Goes to the Warehouse, surfs the internet, eats fast food lunches.

What hacks me off the most is that when I have to go to work away from home, I have to pay for childcare out of whatever pittance I make -- so when I want a day off, I either need to "book" him to look after Em, or pay a babysitter -- but when he wants a day off, he's got ME to do the care. GRRR!

grrrr - so much to complain about him, not enough space on here even for that novel....

we have hardly even spoken to each other since mothers day...such an arse...grrrr. and yesterday he had a day off work and said he needed to have a day off to himself....WHAT the ......   grrrrr. so he did, but all he did was the same stuff me and the kids did - warehouse, lunch, home.... gggrrrrr and then he tells me at 8 this am he wasnt coming home for dinner so i had to do bath and bed routine by myself when he normally does it and he is working late tomorrow too.
i asked him what his problem is and he gives me this big sad "i dont know" like now we have to discuss his problems but i have had enough and just said whatever.! so once again he went to bed early and left me in the lounge.... gggrrrrrr. arse is all i can say.

oh well, life goes on. and as my mum keeps reminding me back in her day that was normal and med who did stuff for the kids was not the norm.
