She wasn't tense that I remember but she cried a lot. It turned out that she had silent reflux. She also had a strong will and unfortunately I put a lot of her unsettledness down to that and didn't pursue treatment for the reflux until it was too late. Now I wish I had.]]>

I'm useless at waiting.  If there is something wrong that is going to impact her and our family long term I want to know!  Impatient :).  People just say that some babies are just grizzly...if that is true...why haven't we met any?? Anyone know any?]]>

She only rolled or sat until 10mos, crawled for 3 weeks, learned to walk with our hands and then gave up on crawling! Walked at 12 1/2 mos. A lot of that had to do with her being a very settled baby though, wasn't much interested in moving.<br /><br />I'm not concerned about your DD's lack of movement so far but I AM concerned about her being tense and grizzly a lot. That's a strong indication that something's not right and it must be pretty tough on mum too.]]>

And yeap, we've seen docs and paeds.  Going to another paed next week and our request just to be sure.  They agree that it is not normal for a baby to grizzle as much as she does + she is often so tense that she still holds her fists clenched much of time.  They generally say that she seems fine BUT that we won't really know for sure until she is older as things like Autism Spectrum Disorders (not that she has autism) can't be diagnosed until later. All we know is that she way more irritable and tense than other babies but perhap she is just sensitive.]]>

I thought she just liked music. She has also started doing it if I turn the blender or hairdryer on + she now also does this funny humming like squealing thing and rocks then too! DH thinks she is singing.  Does this sound ok to you?  She smiles and interacts with me while she rocks so it's not like she is zoning out or anything.<br /><br />She is a really grizzly baby...really REALLY irritable so I'm a little freaked about neurological things (also, she doesn't roll or crawl yet either).<br /><br />Any one elses babies dance in this way?  ]]>
