Of course, if you develop any other symptoms like fever etc then I'd be straight off to the doc.

(Well, this is just me of course... Author: busymum
Subject: 7992
Posted: 04 June 2007 at 1:14pm

A couple of weeks ago I developed a small lump in my ear (if you poke your finger in, it's right there at the back). It was painful to touch but if I ignored it, no probs, so I left it alone and it hasn't got bigger or smaller or anything.

But yesterday I touched it and that whole part of the ear canal (feels like "the end") is tender. I used a cotton bud just to check it was all clean in there (it was), bumped the end with the cotton bud and it hurt! And I know it's not supposed to hurt there. It feels like there is a build-up of pressure behind there.

My DH is convinced it's an ear pimple. I'm not so sure, but I'm not keen to make an appointment to see a Doc this week just to pa $$$ to hear "yes it's a pimple and it'll go away by itself"!

I have no discharge, DH can't see anything in there (no redness etc), and I don't have/haven't had a cold. Ideas?
