Author: peanut butter
Subject: 8002
Posted: 04 June 2007 at 9:45pm

In christchurch it seems we get booted out of Christchurch Womens within a few hours of giving birth and transfer to another hospital. This was on the news recently and raised the question about babies getting a bit hypothermic as they are transfered in the middle of winter after coming out of a warm mummy.

What do you put on the baby? do you really dress it all up at a few hours old? Or do you just wrap it really warmly? We have got a lot of baby clothes already (luckily were given a massive bag of newborn clothes) but we dont have any really warm outers for bubs. Bubs will be born in August which can be bloody cold down here.....and i imagine he/she will arrive in the middle of the night.

Any suggestions????
