Faraway - trust me, it's pretty hard to miss! "Nappy rash" is fairly innocuous and is just when your bubs skin on their bum is a bit red and angry looking. If it is a fungal infection though it usually looks far more spotty and blotchy (sometimes with redness sometimes without).

Linda - ask your GP to prescribe you some Miconazole cream, and you could always get them to take a swab to see what kind of bacteria are in there (if it is a bacterial infection ie: thrush). Its spotty and blotchy. Have tried the sudocream and have been to the chemist but nothing working. Sudocrem works really well on Sam. Although in saying that since we have gone fulltime into cloth, nappy rash has not been an issue anymore.
