I've read up on sensory integration disorder and it's a fascinating area. I emailed with a physical therapist in the US who specialises in that area but she said that if Elle does have it is mild as there is no one sense (e.g. sight, sound, taste, touch, movement) that clearly causes her upset. Once she can talk I guess we'll know more as she'll be able to tell us what is irritating her.

Ok, feel better now.

I feel really bad about doing another ranting post but I'm just getting too the end of my tether. My 10mth old girl has grizzled almost constantly since she was 3 weeks old. We've had a few good weeks but the rest have been horrid. This week is proving to be one of the worst. Thankfully she sleeps wonderfully but is so horrid when awake. She has just spent the morning grizzling / crying and nothing will distract her. I tried pamol, bonjela, teething powder, teethmed spray, things to chew on, tv (!!!!) but nothing helps.

It's just hit home that she is 10mths old (today) and is still a miserable unsettled baby. I don't know how much more of this day after day after day grizzling I can bear! We were just at a friends house and her 10mth old was so happy crawling around and playing and Elle just sat and cried through the entire visit. Maybe she'd be happier if she could crawl :( but sadly she just sits.

P.S yes we've seen paediatricians, osteopaths, naturopaths, doctors, plunket, etc etc. We've tried it all and they all say it is just temperament.

Sorry - just needed a rant.
