You so summed up what I was thinking!

if I feel attractive or have been made to feel attractive by B saying something with no 'strings attached'....it goes a long way!

Also helps if I'm not feeling stressed out and exhausted.

What helps most though is that hubby is really understanding, it takes the pressure of so when we do get some action....it's wow!

its also an could be image thing... if you complaiment your wife without it having to lead to sex it goes a long way.. even before heading out the door you could compliment how she looks etc...

I have to say Willie did help his chances in a major way when he wrote "I love my three beautiful daughters Maya, Sienna and Mercedes and their Mummy xxx" on Maya's magnadoodle and left it on the kitchen bench for me to find this morning. Little things like that are unexpected, especially from him who isn't one to be open with his feelings, but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
And I've found him a lot more appreciative since he had a week off recently when he hurt his shoulder - seeing everything I do in a day close up opened his eyes I think and he's been helping out by cooking dinner 2-3 times a week and making an effort to have a shower as soon as he gets home so he can take over with the kids.

Yep Scott I know men have stressful days as well but we're not wired the same. You guys compartmentalise and go ahead and relive your stress, but women need to relieve their stress/calm down/take time-out first.

Boy you sound like DH. As I tell him when I get this lecture from him that at least he gets to leave his job. I am on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week 52 weeks of the year, no holidays no paid leave. I don't get to leave at the end of the day or have weekends, therefore when I am given the chance to sleep,I sleep. Lying in dread of the "Muuuuum" in the middle of the night or the cries from night terrors. plus I know three times what the end result of said shag can be and that's not a massive turn on.

Be patient, be helpful, be kind and most of all be flattering, it's hard when you have stained clothes, you may or may not have brushed your hair that morning due to memory loss because you had so much to do, and your sure you had your shower but can't quite remember if that was today or yesterday to feel sexy.

I am still waiting for my drive to come back. I have some but it just isn't the same.

I have to say that if DH helps out with Tyrell or just around the house....it seems to help. Maybe because by him helping me it is 1 less job I have to do and means I/we can get to bed sooner...

BSDH you sound exactly like my DH, except we are at the pre-birth stage, still got to get to your stage yet!! Its not that I don't want "it" I just really struggle to find a comfortable position that I actually enjoy it too! O.k way TMI from me

I run a company I have staff thats like having lots of kids gotta watch what some of them are doing all the time(Sniff) what about my needs Don't you think it's hard worring about who's paying bills who's not, is there money to pay wages who has just wrecked their company car, cellphone, forklift etc

He took McKayla for a walk so I can have a bath by myself and her not crying for wanting to bath with me and I could shave my legs and everything without having to worry about her. Scott the best thing my DH can do is come home and be ready to help with the girls cause it's a very tiring job. Then when they are in bed he can hint to me that he's hoping for some tonight and ask me what can he do to help me get ready? My answer often is something like, when K goes to bed I'd like to have a relaxing shower - a bit of time out - and get changed into something clean/not smelly, and once I've had my little time-out routine I feel mentally recharged and can join in. After c/s I was interested at about 4 weeks - actually I was kinda interested at about 2 weeks but that was a bit risky!! After episiotomy/tear down there, it took 7-8 weeks before I was interested at all! Took a few goes to get the hang of it again and not be so paranoid about things bursting or hurting, and 2 months on from that things were ok again. We're back to normal now... and I'm a bit clucky already too Once my AF cycle comes back I get the hormonal fluctuations and that really gets my drive/initiation back
