Thanks everyone! It's not really the ideal way to get to spend time with the hubby, but it's okay. Feeling a bit better today, still get breathless walking down the hall to the loo and haven't tried the stairs yet! In any case, I'm sure the pills will do their thing and I'll be back to normal soon. Okay, so you probably didn't notice I wasn't here, however after my ambulance ride on Friday to North Shore Hospital and the hospitality and care given me in the monitoring unit of the emergency department I thought that I should all relay a warning...... be careful of cold medicines!!! I had some Codral day and night at lunchtime on Friday, coupled with a swig of cough medicine and within an hour my heart was crushing and I thought that I was dying of a heart attack. The emergency room doctors felt similar and I ended up hooked up to a heart monitor and getting blood thinners, nitro spray and dispirin regularly until the effects of the meds wore off. I've been let home with pills and been told to do nothing for a week - and have a case of bronchitis for extra company, but for a while there Nick (DH) were saying our goodbyes and working out what he should tell the boys.
