Well I'm back and finally had bubs.
I cant go into detail as I dont have much time but, what I will say is, boy was it fast and easy. I'm really not kidding. I couldnt believe how fast it all happened, 3 hours max. Anyway, it was sunday, we had a girl and have named her Gypsy Rose, 8pound 12 oz. She is so beautiful(but of course I'd say that). Hubby has taken a few days off to help out. We are taking shifts at the moment so we can both have longer sleeps. I agree you should go crying to your doc about it! I hope your doc isn't male though. When I last saw my male doctor and I was saying that I was getting so sore and sick of being pregnant and he just said "just enjoy your pregnancy, relax and hope it lasts as long as possible" I'm not sure how I'm ment to relax with a two year old running round!! And hope it lasts as long as possible!! I hope isn't doesn't intend to keed me pregnant for an extra month or something!!! Just wait until his wife is at this stage(she's 3months pregnant with her first) I bet he won't be able to wait to get the baby out of her! Also, after your due date the placenta begins to deteriorate, so you can use that as an excuse for an earlier induction. Hi everyone. Still no baby but my dog had her pups on wedensday. She had 4 of them, 3 boys and 1 girl. One was touch and go for a while but I managed to bring it back and is now doing as well as the others. I'm so jelous that she's already had hers. It feels like I'm going to be pregnant forever. It wouldnt be so bad if I wasnt in sooo much pain all the time. As you know I went to the physio but that night everything went back out because I was tossing and turning so much. Hey, thanks for all your thoughts I am still in one piece tho I feel things are getting much closer! Period type pains are gettting a bit painful but not at all regular so prob nothing yet!! Daniels mum is in Welly ICU - she had a 7 hour operation on Tuesday to repair the rupture and today she woke up, is starting to talk and is now breathing for herself. So everything is looking really positive after being told on Tuesday that it is likely she wont make it. An Obstetrician told me that all the due date really means is that there is a 90% chance that the baby will be born 2weeks either side of the date and only 5% are born on there due date.

my bub was always active and she is still trying to move but has ran out of room...so every time she moves it is really painful. Like righ now.....OUUUUCHHHHH .....I cant wait to have her now!!!!

Although having "relations" didn't bring on labour it worked really as pain relief!

I have a feeling that bubs is going to be over due so I'm sure you will beat me to it But I happen to have a niece who has a trampoline so I might have go and spend a few hours bouncing on my knees like one of the other ladys suggested.

I really can't wait to have this baby, I feel like I have a bowling ball in my pelvis. Every one stares when I go for a walk, I must look like a duck waddling down the street!

They say the second pregnancy is easier than the first, I think who ever said that lied! They should have just said near the end of the second pregnancy it's easier to impersonate an elephant! Goodluck Bonnie sounds like your bud isn't far away

I'm trying all the advice I've read to bring on labour. Last night I went for a long walk then I made the mistake of telling Josh that someone mentioned laughing might help so both him and my daughter tickled my feet until tears were running down my cheeks. Then later we tried um. . ."relations" more than once. After all that I ended up with strong contractions throughout the night which of course kept me awake and now everything has just stopped again. I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. I really hope shes ok.

Midwife came yesterday and did an internal but I was only about 2cm dilated so she couldnt do too much anyway, bugger.
She tried putting primrose oil around inside and has given me more homeopathy stuff. If bubs hasnt come by Monday we'll be looking at an induction. Wouldnt be surprised if I go into labour today - had a family crisis. My MIL had a brain haemorrhage this morning so have been at the hospital and just got home. Not feeling very well but I think its just the shock. She has been flown to Welly for neurosurgery this arvo, so hubby has gone down there. Things are really touch and go at the moment, but I am too close to due date to venture that far so am going to go and stay with my parents. I hate waiting...Few weeks ago, I waited for a cabinet to get delivered (they said before lunch on Sat) and phoned at 1pm to find out where the H&*%% was it? and then they said oh no we will deliver it before 5pm....excuse me? do you think I will wait around the whole day on Sat so that you can change your mind and not bother to tell me?? I dont think so......I want it delivered with in an hour! And they were there with in 1.30hours. ....I feel much better after I let all that out! Lol

Bonnie I am the same, I am in alot of pain every time bub moves. I have period like pains and they shoot down my legs...specially at night. Is the "sweep" painfull?
I know bubs is sitting low now, because when she moves she hits all sorts of nerves which stops me in my tracks. Hubby looks at me like he's saying "is it time",lol.

Oh did you stay calm... im so irational at the moment, i would have blown my top. Thanks everyone. Tryed the "relations" several times (didnt tell hubby why though) but still no baby. Mind you, it was fun trying. We've been so busy there hasnt been any time for that sort of thing for quite some time(maybe TMI).
Midwife is coming today to talk about what next. She said about an internal last time but I dont think she could do anything that would help unless she broke my waters or something.

Telecom didnt turn up yesterday so we rang at 4pm. They said "oh yeah they changed the day", nice of them to tell us. I'd been waiting all day for them.

Yeah the whole sperm thing is a myth, it only works if he produced a bucket load in one go.. but an orgasm can help as it uses some of the same muscles... my recomendation is a glass of wine... if a trampoline is near get on your knees and gently bounce up and down for a while.. then go inside and vigourosly mash some potatoes.. has worked well for every single person i know thats tried it.. oh yeah and laugh as much and as hard as possible, so if you know somebody ultra funny get them round or get out a dvd you know is ultra funny... Hi everyone.
Well, I'm still very pregnant and getting rather frustrated.
I have swelling of the legs and my blood pressure is going up. I have tryed quite a few of the natural remedies to get things started but no luck. Dont say castor oil because everything I've read says it wont work and give wicked constipation.
My midwife is coming over tomorrow to discus what I want done(as in induction etc).
As for the house, well, we're slowly getting things unpacked and sorted. Babys room is ready(and waiting). We had a bit of a slack weekend, only doing small easy stuff but by yesterday afternoon we were getting rather fidgety and for the first time in,,,,, I dont know how long, I said I was bored. I think its just the waiting thats getting to me. Cricky all I've done this year is wait. Wait for people to turn up or ring etc.
We have telecom coming round today, to give us a quote on how much to run the cables up to the house. I hope its not going to cost too much as I'm really missing the computer and being able to catch up with you girls.

Yes I am a bit fussy (always were)...but as soon as it comes to me bub I am even more so.......I have this "thing" about used stuff.....

I think Aimee could be having a girl too....havent got a clue re the weight....LOL

I am glad the baby is engaged Aimee...I have my doctors appt today as well, so soon find out what is going on with my bub. I must say I woke up feeling a bit sore/uncomfortable down there and some pain down my leg.

I am also going to go and pick up my carseat from plunket today (I hope I like it!) Can I say no to it if I dont?.....

Just got back from the Docs. Apparently bubs is engaged and ready to go - just need to wait until he/she is ready!! The doctors prediction is that its a boy, a little over 8 pounds and that it will be born next Tues (18th)! Yeah I am having trouble with the whole resting thing, not good at doing nothing but a good book helps.

Going to Doc again tonight so hopefully will find out if its engaged yet. Its kicking a differnet spot now so its still dropping and it feels a bit uncomfortable down low at times so I guess its head is right down there now. Still gettign lots of cramps, but the BH have eased off a bit. I had such bad baxton hicks yesterday...oh my!!!
And every time my tummy got tight, bub kicked and moved. I was exhausted!!! I called my midwife and she said that these baxton hicks help babys head to go down and engage....great!! Hey Ladies...just heard back from Bonnie.

She is extremely busy with the house and no, no bub yet.
She is having major problems with the solar power guy and has just moved in to her new house (And she said her family were a big help and hardly let her do any thing)....but you know her, she is still getting things done, even tho her feet are swollen.....That woman is strong!!!!

Hmmm.....I still have so much to do around the house that I dont have time to be bored! but yes feeling a bit stressed as I have 20 days to get things sorted. Mind you my last day at work is 21st so I will have 10 days at home to be bored (but have a wedding to go to on the long weekend)!....That is only if bub is not early......

I get all excited when I go shopping...thats all we do these days it seems...shopping!
